Thursday, August 3
Long Ride into Endurance
In keeping with CrossFit Games tradition, the first day of competition will see a long bike ride that tests both speed and endurance. Dubbed the “Ride,” this event will have competitors completing as many laps as possible on a Trek brand mountain bike in a 40-minute time frame, racing over grass and dirt terrain with flat elevation.
A Gritty Encounter with the ‘Pig’
The “Pig Chipper” is set to be a demanding event involving a piece of equipment known as the Pig. This unusually large implement, standing nearly eight-feet tall, three-feet wide, and 20-inches high, weighs up to 254 kilograms (560 pounds). Athletes will have to demonstrate their prowess in manhandling the Pig through a chipper-style workout consisting of various exercises, including pig flips, chest-to-bar pull-ups, toes-to-bar, and wall ball shots.

A Balancing Act: Inverted Medley
The final workout on Thursday is the “Inverted Medley”, a test of balance and focus. This routine includes ramps, pirouettes, handstand walks, free-standing handstand push-ups, and pull-overs.

The ‘Alpaca Redux’: A Test of Endurance and Strength
The “Alpaca Redux” will see athletes push the Alpaca sled, weighing 136 pounds when empty, for 126 feet, followed by three rounds of legless rope climbs, kettlebell clean & jerks, and a 42-foot sled push.

Ski Bag: An Evening Challenge
The “Ski Bag” event, scheduled for Friday night inside the Coliseum, will test athletes’ stamina and strength. In addition to skiing on a ski erg, athletes will perform sandbag squats, with expected weights being 200 pounds for men and 150 pounds for women.
Saturday, August 5
Cross-Country 5K: A Test of Stamina
Saturday’s workout will likely be a 5K run. The specific details of the course remain under wraps, but if it’s anything like the 2022 “The Capitol” workout, athletes can expect to face additional challenges beyond the 3.1-mile run.
Olympic Weightlifting Total: A Display of Power
The “Olympic Weightlifting Total” workout will require athletes to display explosive strength by performing two key movements of Olympic weightlifting – the clean & jerk and the snatch. Scores will be determined by the total weight lifted.
