Jeremy Buendia Faces Uncertain Future After Achilles Tendon Rupture
Jeremy Buendia’s 2024 bodybuilding season hangs in the balance as he grapples with the aftermath of a ruptured Achilles tendon.
“I got another mountain to climb ⛰️
–
Today I did some running & Right off the start, I planted off my left foot and I felt a pop. I knew right away it was my Achilles.
–
I don’t think it’s really hit me yet but this is what I’m up against for the foreseeable future.
–
I’m gonna fight through this just like everything else I’ve faced.”
Once Buendia consults with his orthopedic surgeon, he and his team will chart the next course of action.
“Alright guys, I just got back from the hospital got the CT scan results back and unfortunately, I completely ruptured my Achilles tendon. So, I have an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to figure out what’s next. It sucks. It’s crazy.”
Furthermore, despite the setback, Buendia remains committed to training his upper body. For his lower body, he will focus solely on incorporating leg extensions.
“I was not waking up this morning expecting this to happen it was like a freak thing. Just running a little bit and pop. I’ll probably be in a walking boot. I got to see if I’m going to have surgery.
I’ll still be able to train upper body and probably do some leg extensions. But yeah, that’s what we’re up against right now. Got to roll with the punches and keep moving forward. That’s all I can do,” shares Jeremy Buendia.
