Darwin Uribe Withdrawal from 2023 Arnold Classic, Prioritizing Health Over Competition
Despite not specifying the reason for his 2023 Arnold Classic withdrawal, Darwin Uribe underscored external factors in his decision. Expressing gratitude for the invitation, Uribe acknowledged his health limitations in an Instagram statement.
Contemplating withdrawal since the 2022 Olympia, Uribe had already submitted his application for the Arnold Classic. As a newcomer to the Pro League, Uribe hasn’t competed in the Olympia.
His 2022 Arnold Classic appearance resulted in an eighth-place finish in the Classic Physique Division. Now, prioritizing health over expectations, Uribe emphasizes personal decisions.
“This time I am prioritizing myself, looking for myself, taking in my own decisions more than expectations or what people think or want from me as an athlete,” Uribe stated. At the 2022 Arnold Classic, Terrence Ruffin secured his second consecutive Classic Physique Arnold Classic title.
