Despite facing criticism, Sam Sulek continues his journey to become a Classic Physique bodybuilder. A key part of his process involves bulking up. In a recent YouTube video, Sulek shared his current diet and grocery store haul to give viewers a clear look at how he eats while bulking.

Sulek Bulk Strategy
Sam Sulek begins his grocery trip by heading down the cereal aisle to pick up essentials: Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Special K.
“What better aisle to start the first grocery trip of the bulk than the cereal aisle? So, I’m going to curb my enthusiasm just a touch. I’m still going to get Cinnamon Toast Crunch, of course. I mean come on, I’d be crazy not to. But I’m honestly for like the majority, I’m a bit more of a fan of the fucking Special K. Two boxes of that it’ll be perfect.”
Sulek reveals his strategy of reducing sugar intake and opting for easier-to-digest carbohydrates.
“I’m easing up on the sugar intake. I’m easing up on the sugar intake. The majority of these carbs are going to be coming from, well, just slower-digesting carb sources. It’s not so kind-of tough on my system in a way which is something I’ve only kind of begun to really understand the value of as of late.”
In his quest to bulk up, Sam Sulek aims for 280 pounds first and hopes to reach 300 pounds eventually. He’s cutting fat intake and boosting calories with carbs for his ideal physique.
“I got to hit 280 somehow, and fast forward a few years, I’ve got to hit 300 somehow. If I can get in tune with this machine, this big as fucking thing around here pushing the cart, the sooner I can do that the better.”
“I’m trying to ease up on the fat intake, you know? Because I’m trying to like I was saying yesterday, my primary concern right now is maximizing my carb intake. I want most of my calories coming through carbs. I’m still going to get 150 grams of fats.”
Furthermore, Sulek continues his grocery haul, grabbing several dozen eggs and containers of egg whites, followed by a box of white rice.
“I’m not going to say this is the Sam Sulek method, but it’s so easy to cook this. There’s no need for any pots, pans or anything fancy,” says Sulek.
Moreover, Sulek chooses instant mac and cheese bowls (Annie’s brand) and adds a couple packs of Top Ramen to his haul.
“I see no fucking problem with this. I would be concerned if you were trying to diet down,” shares Sulek.
In the meat section, Sulek picked up tilapia and suggested boiling it with salt, pepper, and lemon. He also bought some steaks and ground beef.“A couple of rib eyes would be perfect. I’m no longer limited to just lean-ass cuts of top round but I kind of want to pick the ones that don’t have massive fat caps.”
Additionally, to meet his daily protein requirements, Sulek made sure to include sardines in his grocery haul.
“All I gotta do is pick which one I like the most. I’m really looking for a King Oscar Mediterranean.”
