Known for his controversial ‘trash diet,’ Sam Sulek is once again sharing a glimpse into his eating habits. In a recent YouTube video, Sulek detailed his winter bulk with a 4887-calories diet spread across four meals.
Despite being only 21 years old and yet to step onto a bodybuilding stage, Sulek has made a significant impact in the fitness world. With remarkable muscle mass and conditioning, he gained widespread popularity last year and secured sponsorship from Fouad Abiad’s supplement company, Hosstile.
However, Sulek has faced criticism for his high-calorie diet and alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs. Pro bodybuilders like Nick Walker have expressed concerns, arguing that Sulek’s influence could be delivering a potentially harmful message to younger audiences.

Sam Sulek takes in a hefty 4887-calories in a day with four straightforward meals during his winter bulk
Breaking away from his usual massive bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Sulek opted for Chex cereal to kickstart his day.
Meal One
- 3 servings of Chex cereal
- 3 cups of milk
“Simple carbs,” says Sam Sulek. “Per serving one gram of fat in this dried Chex, don’t just skip over that. That’s the absolute worst mistake you could do. In a bulking context that’s not bad because then you’re eating more food than you are really tracking. But if you’re dieting down, you have to be OCD Mr. Monk level.”

Meal Two
Sulek’s pre-workout meal included a pound of steak and five servings of pre-made mashed potatoes.
- 1 pound of Steak
- Pre-made 5 servings of mashed potatoes
“Apart from any treats that I might have before I go train, this will pretty much be the pre-workout meal. This is what I’ve kind of been loving,” said Sulek. “Usually, I’m lazy and I get a lot of pre-made food, like a Costco huge 15-pound turkey breast and just cut chunks off but the steaks I’ve been loving.”
Next, Sulek discussed why he doesn’t worry about skipping meals.
“I’ve never really been a huge proponent of really hitting meals per say. That’s one factor I kind of differentiate in terms of my let’s just call it Rich Piana similarities. Calories are calories dude. You can’t eat something and have it not count. That’s one thing I think people really kind of have to understand.”
Meal Three
While working out, the renowned influencer replenished with a protein shake.
- Protein shake intra workout Hosstile
“So I forgot to add intra-workout was 100 grams of carbs in the Hosstile bottle. Yeah, I forgot about that. I was doing the blue Gatorade.”

Meal Four
Originally planned as the second-to-last meal, his flank steak and chicken ramen ended up being his final meal of the day after he fell asleep.
- 12 ounces Flank steak
- Two packs of chicken Ramen
Even without Krispie Kreme donuts or jugs of chocolate milk, Sulek emphasized his adherence to the ‘calories in, calories out’ system.
“Not a lot of crazy treats today. Though, when it comes to the actual kinds of foods that I’m eating, for the most part, I do look at it as calories in, calories out, how many carbs are in it, how many fats are in it, how much protein is in it.
But protein is a little different. I do definitely put a lot of emphasis on making sure the 250 grams of protein I do get a day is from a high-quality source.”
