Doncaster, England, will play host to the 2023 Britain’s Strongest Woman competition on September 30, 2023. The competition will not be limited to strongwomen from a single country, and will instead feature some of the biggest names in the sport from throughout the United Kingdom. The competition has a reputation for attracting the best of the best in strongwoman contests.
On March 12, 2023, Giants Live organization announced a list of the initial competitors for the 2023 BSW. The competition promises to be intense and will include a slew of world-class champions, such as 2021 World’s Strongest Woman and 2022 UK’s Strongest Woman Rebecca Roberts, former Britain’s Strongest Woman and 2022 England’s Strongest Woman Lucy Underdown, and Donna Moore, who has won the World’s Strongest Woman title three times (in 2016-2017, 2019).
Giants Live have yet to disclose the specific events that will be part of the competition, but have indicated that athletes will be tested in five different events. The nature of these events will be revealed in the future, but the organization has a reputation for pushing competitors to their limits with innovative and challenging events.

At the time of writing, only five competitors have been announced for the 2023 Britain’s Strongest Woman competition, but they are all world-class athletes with impressive resumes. As the event draws closer, more big names are expected to be added to the roster.
Lucy Underdown, who won a Britain’s Strongest Woman title under a different organizing body, has finished on the podium in three of her last five strongwoman appearances. Meanwhile, Andrea Thompson, the current Log Lift World Record holder, won the 2018 World’s Strongest Woman title and was the runner-up in 2022.
Rhianon Lovelace is another standout athlete, holding multiple world records and two U64 World’s Strongest Woman titles. She holds the U64 Atlas Stone World Record, U64 Axle Press World Record, Axle Deadlift World Record, and deadlift World Record.
Rebecca Roberts, the 2021 WSW champion and 2022 UK’s Strongest Woman, recently finished in second place at the 2023 Arnold Strongwoman Classic. Lastly, Donna Moore, who has won three WSW titles (2016-2017, 2019) and the 2021 UK’s Strongest Woman title, completes the current list of competitors for the BSW.
Despite there only being five confirmed competitors at the moment, the roster for the 2023 BSW already boasts an impressive line-up of superstars and icons in the world of strongwoman competitions. As more athletes are added to the slate, the competition is only set to become even more intense.
