Bodybuilder Hunter Labrada recently showcased his rigorous training regimen in a new YouTube video. Furthermore, premiered on March 5, 2024, the video features Labrada guiding viewers through an intense pull-day back workout.
“Unfortunately, I’m not Ronnie Coleman or Dorian Yates, so I have to do other things to make my back grow,” says Labrada.
Hunter Labrada, son of IFBB Pro League Hall of Famer Lee Labrada, upholds a prestigious legacy in bodybuilding. However, despite evolving demands in the sport, Hunter exhibits unwavering intensity in his training sessions, yielding notable success.
Additionally, with a career highlight of fourth place at Mr. Olympia, Labrada continues to elevate his performance each season. Moreover, his triumph at the 2023 Tampa Pro secured him a spot at Olympia, following a commendable second-place finish at the Texas Pro.

Although he landed sixth at Olympia, Labrada remains resilient, viewing it as motivation for future competitions. To gear up for upcoming challenges, he invites fans to witness his rigorous back-training regimen, reflecting his commitment to excellence.

The routine includes:
- 2 sets of Single-Arm Cable Pullover
- 3 sets of Barbell Row
- 3 sets of Unilateral Lat Pulldown Machine
- 1 set of Chest-Supported T-Bar Row
- 1 set of Lat Pulldown
- 3 sets of Reverse Flye Machine
Labrada, despite not reaching failure in his recent session, prioritized maximizing blood flow into the lats.
“Yes we’re trying to put blood into our lats but we’re not getting failure output from this. Getting your scapula moving and everything is opening up and we’re putting some blood in there.
The rest of the workout will be about beating the fu** out of your lower lats.”

Labrada appreciated the workout’s intense tempo, noting that it marked his return to bent-over rows after a hiatus of two to three years.
“Today was pretty awesome. Jourdan and I our training sessions schedules lined up so his back and my back day had a baby today and it was awesome.
So, awesome session. Haven’t done bent-over rows in like two or three years so that was really fun to do and a really great pace with three and bigger compounds and the t-bar and the bent over rows.”
Despite his hiatus from the stage, Hunter Labrada remains engaged with fans through informative nutrition videos. Recently, he teamed up with his father Lee to discuss optimal pre-workout meals, emphasizing the importance of protein. Labrada even shared his own muscle-building recipe, the ‘meathead stir fry.’
As anticipation builds for Labrada’s return to bodybuilding competition, his recent training sessions indicate a commitment to surpassing his previous physique. With the 2024 season underway, Labrada faces the task of qualifying for the Olympia by September 15 to secure a spot on bodybuilding’s grandest stage.
“All in all, an awesome session,” said Labrada.
