Just a few weeks after participating in the 2023 World’s Strongest Man (WSM) competition, Konstantine Janashia competed in another Strongman event. This time, it was the 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man competition, which took place in Tbilisi on May 5-6. Six of the country’s greatest Strongman athletes participated, but Janashia proved to be unstoppable once again.
Janashia Continues to Impress After WSM Competition
Despite just participating in the largest Strongman competition in the world, the 2023 World’s Strongest Man (WSM), Konstantine Janashia didn’t take a break. Just days after WSM, he competed in another Strongman event, the 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man competition, held in Tbilisi on May 5-6. Despite the short recovery time, Janashia proved to be in top form once again.
Janashia Emerges Victorious in Georgia’s Strongest Man Competition
Six of Georgia’s greatest Strongman athletes gathered in Tbilisi on May 5-6 for the 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man competition. After five events, only one athlete emerged victorious, and that was Konstantine Janashia, also known as the ‘Georgian Bull’. Janashia won three out of the five events and finished the competition with a three-point lead over the second-place finisher, Nikoloz Lekaidze. Chabuka Chigladze finished a few points behind Lekaidze but still managed to set a new National record.

Max Axle Press Event: Chigladze Sets New National Record
At the 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man competition, the Max Axle Press event challenged athletes to test their one-rep max in hopes of earning valuable points towards the overall title. Chabuka Chigladze started the competition off with a strong performance, winning the event and setting a new Axle Press Georgia National Record with a lift of 190 kilograms. Second place went to Konstantine Janashia with a lift of 180 kilograms, and Nikoloz Lekaidze finished in third place with 160 kilograms.

Athletes Compete in Log Lift Event at 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man
In the second event of the 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man competition, the athletes faced the Log Lift challenge. The objective was to perform as many reps as possible with a Log of undisclosed weight.
As the current Georgia National Record holder in the Log Lift, Konstantine Janashia was the clear favorite. He dominated his rivals and completed an impressive eight reps.
In second place, three athletes tied with six reps each: Nikoloz Lekaidze, Chabuka Chigladze, and Avtandil Karmazanashvili.

Konstantine Janashia Continues to Dominate with a Win in Super Yoke Event
Konstantine Janashia demonstrated his speed and strength once again in the third event of the 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man competition. The athletes were tasked with carrying a 400-kilogram Super Yoke for 15 meters as quickly as possible. Janashia, known for his quickness, clocked in at an impressive 9.91 seconds, securing maximum points and his third win of the competition.
Nikoloz Lekaidze and Chabuka Chigladze battled for the runner-up spot, with Lekaidze edging out Chigladze by a mere 0.69 seconds. Despite Janashia’s dominance in the event, the battle for the remaining podium spots remained fierce and competitive.

Konstantine Janashia Dominates Arm Over Arm Pull in Georgia’s Strongest Man
In the penultimate event of the 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man competition, the Strongmen were tasked with pulling an SUV attached to a rope for a distance of 20 meters. Konstantine Janashia, also known as the ‘Georgian Bull,’ dominated the event, finishing in just 25.66 seconds.
Janashia’s closest rival, Nikoloz Lekaidze, finished a massive 10 seconds behind him, highlighting the vast difference in strength and technique between the competitors. It was no surprise that Janashia won this event, as he has a proven track record of performing exceptionally well in events that require pulling and dragging.

Nikoloz Lekaidze Claims Victory in Final Event of 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man
In the final event of the 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man, the athletes took on a machine which resembled the motion of a squat. The task was to perform as many reps as possible on the 280-kilogram weight.
Although Konstantine Janashia had already secured his overall victory by the time of this event, his closest rival, Nikoloz Lekaidze, still gave his all and won the event with an impressive 12 reps.
While Janashia only performed one repetition, Lekaidze’s victory in the final event allowed him to secure his second-place finish in the overall standings, finishing just three points behind the dominant Georgian Bull. Chabuka Chigladze, who set a new national record in the Max Axle Press event, finished in third place overall, only a few points behind Lekaidze.

Konstantine Janashia Proves His Strength at 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man
Despite not making it to the podium at the 2023 World’s Strongest Man, Konstantine Janashia made a resounding comeback at the 2023 Georgia’s Strongest Man competition. The event, held just days after the WSM, saw Janashia dominate the competition, winning three out of the five events and securing his overall victory.
Janashia’s strength was on full display, as he set a new Georgia National Record in the Max Axle Press and continued his winning streak in the Super Yoke and Arm Over Arm Pull events. His fellow competitors, including second-place finisher Nikoloz Lekaidze and Chabuka Chigladze, put up a valiant fight, but Janashia’s speed and power ultimately proved too much for them.
Although he only completed one repetition in the Squat Lift event, Janashia had already secured his overall victory and walked away from the competition with a renewed sense of confidence.
