Zuzanna Kula Bench Press World Record
Zuzanna Kula competed at the EPF European Bench Press Championships, weighing in at 53.80 kilograms (118.6 pounds), well below the 57-kilogram limit for her weight class. However, despite this, she secured the gold medal with ease.
Additionally, Kula began her competition with a 162.5-kilogram (358.3-pound) bench press, which alone would have guaranteed her victory. Yet, her primary aim was to set a new World Record, not just win the gold.
To achieve this, Kula increased the weight to 169 kilograms (372.6 pounds) for her second attempt. Furthermore, this lift exceeded the existing World Record by 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds), placing significant pressure on her. Undeterred, she stepped onto the stage in her single-ply shirt and completed the lift successfully.
In addition, Kula then attempted to extend the record by 4 kilograms (8.8 pounds), but this attempt was unsuccessful. However, despite this, her performance demonstrated both her remarkable strength and her determination.
