Over the weekend, Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr once again proved her dominance at the 2025 Torian Pro in Brisbane, Australia. From the start, she controlled the competition with ease. Impressively, she won five out of six events. As a result, she secured a coveted invitation to the CrossFit Games this summer in Albany, N.Y.
Not surprisingly, Toomey-Orr displayed the skill and power that have defined her career. At 31, she looked sharp and confident, much like during her championship years. Furthermore, her strong performance erased doubts about her comeback after pregnancy. Clearly, she remains one of CrossFit’s most decorated and formidable athletes.
However, uncertainty remains about her next move. Even though she earned a spot at the Games, she has yet to say if she will compete. In fact, some insiders suggest this event might be her final appearance in competition. Meanwhile, others await an official retirement announcement after the Games roster is set.
Ultimately, the choice lies with Toomey-Orr herself. Should she decline the invitation, it would close a remarkable chapter in CrossFit history. On the other hand, if she competes in Albany, fans will witness one last outstanding performance. Either way, her legacy in the sport is undeniable.

Remind Me
Back in April, the seven-time Fittest Woman on Earth announced that the Torian Pro would be an opportunity “to say goodbye to this chapter.”
However, although that sounded like a retirement, she never explicitly said the words “I’m retiring.” This uncertainty continued after the event in a post-interview on Sunday.
“Torian Pro is a platform for athletes to embark on a career that they couldn’t even begin to imagine…Out of nowhere, CrossFit came into my life,” she said.
“I was a lab technician doing shift work. And all of a sudden, I went to the Torian Pro and then I came second at the CrossFit Games.”
Moreover, she reflected on what the event means to her personally.
“The moral of the story is the Torian Pro creates dreams and turns dreams into reality…To end it here in front of a home crowd, and walk away with my heart just so full of love, and admiration, and gratitude. It’s a dream come true.”
Still, she expressed hesitation about leaving the sport for good.
“Tomorrow is never promised. I think that’s why it’s so hard for me to retire.”

Tia at the 2025 Torian Pro
Toomey-Orr was as dominant as ever throughout the weekend in Brisbane. She won five out of six events, many by large margins.
First, she took Event 1 and Event 2 by more than two minutes ahead of the next-best competitor. Similarly, her margin in Event 3 exceeded one full minute.
However, she faced a real challenge in Event 4 — Grisabel, which included 30 snatches, 150 double-unders, and 30 clean and jerks. Grace Walton led going into the clean and jerks.
Yet, Toomey-Orr reclaimed the lead after the first 10 clean and jerks and never looked back.
Still, the only event she didn’t win was Event 5, which involved Ski Erg calories, dumbbell snatches, and burpee box jumps. Walton edged her out by just five seconds.
Finally, in the last event, Toomey-Orr was again in a league of her own. She completed the first set of 18 muscle-ups unbroken and led throughout, winning by 49 seconds over Maddie Sturt.
Notably, this performance came even though Toomey-Orr has reportedly focused more on preparing for the HYROX World Championships in June rather than the CrossFit Games season.

The Big Picture
At 31 years old, Toomey-Orr looks as fit as ever. This recent victory adds yet another title to her legendary career.
However, questions remain about what lies ahead for the G.O.A.T. Is this really her final competition? Or will she accept the invite to compete this summer?
If she does choose to compete in Albany, N.Y., one thing is clear: she will be as difficult to beat as ever.
