The human body is capable of incredible things, and Sherine Marcelle’s recent performance is proof of this. At the 2023 WRPF Femme Fatale III, Marcelle set a new All-Time World Record Raw Squat in the 90-kilogram division, lifting an astounding 263.5-kilogram (580.9-pound) weight. Her achievement suggests that the only limits we have are in our minds, a statement that many people are often reluctant to believe.

Marcelle’s road to setting the new world record was not without its challenges. Following her first squat attempt of 250 kilograms (551.1 pounds), she decided to up the weight to 258.5 kilograms (569.9 pounds) and notch the All-Time World Record. However, the individuals responsible for loading the barbell made a mistake and added an extra 5 kilograms (11 pounds) to the weight.

When Marcelle approached the bar for her second attempt, she was unaware that she was about to lift a weight of 263.5 kilograms (580.9 pounds). Although the weight must have felt heavier than she expected, Marcelle knew that she was capable of lifting it and pushed through. It was only after she completed the lift that she discovered the weight was significantly heavier than it should have been. In light of this, she decided to forgo her remaining third attempt.

The previous All-Time World Record Squat was held by Samantha Rice, who lifted 257.5 kilograms (567.7 pounds) at the 2022 USPA Pro Raw Championships. Marcelle had aimed to break the record by a small margin but ended up exceeding it by an impressive 6 kilograms (13.2 pounds). Her accomplishment is a testament to the power of the human body and the potential for individuals to exceed their own expectations.

In powerlifting competitions, misloaded barbells can lead to severe injuries. Nevertheless, Sherine Marcelle, the reigning powerlifting champion, managed to avoid any such accident during her recent performance. For powerlifters, who have a deep understanding of their body’s limits, a slight miscalculation in weight can make the difference between a successful or an unsuccessful lift.

Sherine Marcelle, who has been competing in powerlifting for a long time, had been working towards breaking the Squat World Record for a while. The record, previously held by Samantha Rice, stood at 257.5 kilograms (567.7 pounds), which Marcelle aimed to beat by a small margin. However, after her second squat attempt, Marcelle was informed that the barbell had been misloaded by an extra 5 kilograms (11 pounds). Despite this setback, Marcelle managed to lift the weight and set a new All-Time World Record with a lift of 263.5 kilograms (580.9 pounds).

After setting the Squat World Record, Marcelle continued her impressive performance by setting a new competition PR in bench pressing with a lift of 130 kilograms (286.6 pounds). Marcelle’s achievements did not stop there as she also went on to claim a new deadlift Competition PR with a pull of 240 kilograms (529.1 pounds).

In the end, after adding up the results from all three events, Marcelle’s total came out to be 633.5 kilograms (1,396.6 pounds), an improvement of a massive 41 kilograms (90.4 pounds) over her previous competition PR. Marcelle’s remarkable feat has earned her accolades from the powerlifting community and serves as a testament to the strength and resilience of the human body.

Sherine Marcelle’s Journey to the Top of the Powerlifting World

After seven years of competing and thirteen sanctioned powerlifting appearances, Sherine Marcelle has achieved the best performance of her career. However, for Marcelle, this is just the beginning of a new chapter in her journey towards success. Despite the potential danger of a misloaded barbell, Sherine Marcelle was able to lift an astounding 263.5-kilogram weight and break the previous All-Time World Record Raw Squat of 257.5 kilograms held by Samantha Rice. Marcelle’s impressive performance extended beyond her squat, as she also achieved new Competition PRs in both the bench press and deadlift events.

After Marcelle’s results from all three events were combined, her Total weight came out to an impressive 633.5 kilograms. This is a massive 41 kilograms improvement from her previous Competition PR, and demonstrates her incredible dedication to the sport of powerlifting. With her outstanding performance at the 2023 WRPF Femme Fatale III competition, Sherine Marcelle has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the powerlifting world.
