Dauda’s quick turnaround highlights his determination to rebound after what he called a “motivating setback.” In a field dominated by Derek Lunsford, Hadi Choopan, and Andrew Jacked, Dauda narrowly missed the podium. Dauda’s rise in the Men’s Open division has been steady and powerful. Since making his Olympia debut in 2022, he has consistently improved his conditioning and presentation. His crowning moment came in 2024, when he won the Mr. Olympia title—becoming one of Nigeria’s greatest bodybuilding exports.

Last weekend, Dauda faced fierce competition in Las Vegas. The top four included Lunsford, Choopan, Andrew Jacked, and Dauda himself. Lunsford retained his title, while Jacked’s improved structure and fullness allowed him to move ahead. Now, Dauda’s focus turns to redemption in Prague.
