Sam Sulek Eyes 2026 Comeback, Hints at Future Men’s Open Debut

Bodybuilder Sam Sulek is focused on adding weight during this time of year, while also hinting at a 2026 comeback and a possible future debut in Men’s Open. Meanwhile, he keeps his eyes on what might come in 2026. Recently, in a conversation with Bob Cicherillo, Sulek outlined his plans to return to the stage next year. Additionally, he shared his thoughts on what it would take to move up to Men’s Open.

Sulek said,

“I don’t want to be the guy who waited three years…I think next year will be food. The whole point of competing is to improve show by show.”

Currently, Sulek is not preparing for a competition but continues building the best version of his physique. He earned his Pro Card at the 2025 Arnold Amateur in the Classic Physique division. Prior to that, he qualified by winning the 2025 Legends Classic in Las Vegas, which was his bodybuilding debut competition after gaining fame as a popular fitness influencer.

Sam Sulek Plans 2026 Return, Opens Door to Men’s Open Division

Sam Sulek is set to return in 2026, focusing on Classic Physique but open to moving up to Men’s Open if he outgrows the weight cap. He explained that competing at a lower weight against much heavier Men’s Open athletes wouldn’t make sense to him.

“It won’t be so tight for the Pro weight cap but if I ever outgrew it, that’s fine by me. I’ll just move up. Why compete with the guys that are 280 if I’m only going to be at 230? It doesn’t make any sense. Give it some time.”

Currently, Men’s Open is not on his immediate radar. Instead, Sulek plans to improve his Classic Physique look for his next Pro show, aiming for a different package than his Arnold Amateur debut.

“I do want to present a different package for a Pro show compared to the amateur show. But because I had to suck down so light for that show, I don’t think I’m too far off from being at least kind of close to my weight cap for a Pro show after a solid offseason.”
