On July 13, Ronnie Coleman shared a direct health update as he is suffering from life threatening Sepsis battle. Furthermore, he addressed fans through Instagram. Moreover, he confirmed he’s been dealing with complications caused by sepsis. Meanwhile, the condition marks one of the biggest fights of his life.
According to the American Journal of Medicine, “sepsis is a clinical syndrome defined by a systemic response to infection.” It also notes that “abnormalities in the inflammation, immune, coagulation, oxygen delivery, and utilization pathways play a role in organ dysfunction and death.” Sepsis, if untreated, can become fatal.
In a separate Instagram post, Coleman said:
“It’s been a long and scary two weeks battling my complications from sepsis — one of the toughest fights of my life. But I couldn’t have fought so hard without the love and support from all of my fans and especially my wife, Susan.”

Ronnie Coleman in Critical Sepsis Battle, Thanks Wife and Fans for Strength to Keep Going
On June 30, Ronnie Coleman’s family issued a public statement. They confirmed Coleman had been hospitalized the previous night. Doctors diagnosed a bloodstream infection. The family described it as a “serious medical emergency.”
Soon after, Coleman canceled an appearance in the United Kingdom. This cancellation raised alarm among fans. The infection halted all upcoming events. His condition required immediate and focused care.

Then, on July 1, his team offered another official statement. They said Coleman had been moved to a specialized medical facility. This facility provided the intensive care he needed.
The team stated:
“While his condition remains complex, there have been encouraging signs of progress.”
