In the world of professional bodybuilding, the quest for perfection is relentless. Every competitor dreams of showcasing their peak physique at the pinnacle event – the Mr. Olympia. For Michal Krizo, this dream burns with fervor as he gears up for the 2023 iteration of this prestigious competition.

The anticipation among fans reached a fever pitch recently when Krizo took to YouTube for an insightful Q&A session. He laid bare his rigorous training regimen, shedding light on the granular details of his split designed meticulously for the upcoming Orlando event, scheduled from Nov. 2-5. The in-depth discussion revealed not just his physical preparation, but also the mental resilience and ambition driving this athlete. Krizo is not just looking to participate; he’s gearing up to etch his name amongst the greats in the annals of Mr. Olympia’s storied history.

“9.5 weeks out. I am tired already. And I will be even more. I started prepping about 2-3 weeks ago. We’ll see if this prep is any different throughout the hard diet itself. Whether anything would change or not. Every prep is difficult and specific,” explained Krizo.

Michal Krizo: From Emerging Talent to Olympia Contender

From the moment Michal Krizo pivoted to the NPC after his tenure with the IFBB Elite Pro League, the bodybuilding fraternity took notice. This transition wasn’t merely a switch of affiliations; it was a definitive statement of intent. The rapid momentum he garnered in 2022, evidenced by his Pro card acquisition at the Amateur Olympia Italy event, was just the start.

His emphatic victory at the EVLS Prague Pro marked a stunning debut in the IFBB Pro League. This wasn’t a newcomer finding his feet; this was a seasoned athlete, unapologetically announcing his arrival.

North American Sojourn: Meeting Legends

Krizo’s dedication and prowess piqued the interest of bodybuilding stalwarts in North America. During his visit, he was afforded the privilege to meet and interact with legends like Milos Sarcev and Jay Cutler. The commendations flowed freely, with Cutler drawing parallels between Krizo’s pronounced muscle striations and those of Phil Heath, the seven-time Mr. Olympia titleholder. Such lofty comparisons weren’t just accolades but also validation of Krizo’s meticulous preparation and commitment.

A Stellar Debut and Continued

Growth Krizo’s initiation into the Mr. Olympia event was memorable. A commendable 12th place finish signaled his potential and drive to reach the zenith of this sport. However, for this 32-year-old dynamo, resting on laurels wasn’t an option. His appearance at the 2023 Empro Classic Pro showcased a more refined and polished competitor. With enhanced posing techniques and spot-on conditioning, Krizo hinted at the vast reservoir of potential yet untapped.

Gearing Up for Olympia 2023

Every contender knows that the Mr. Olympia title isn’t just about sheer muscle mass; it’s an intricate blend of aesthetics, symmetry, conditioning, and stage presence. As Krizo gears up for the 2023 Mr. Olympia, the bodybuilding world eagerly awaits his strategy. Fans and competitors alike are keenly interested in his training nuances and the split he will employ to maximize his onstage impact.

While the journey ahead is demanding, Michal Krizo’s trajectory suggests he’s not just in the race; he’s running to clinch the coveted title. The 2023 Mr. Olympia, scheduled from Nov. 2-5 in Orlando, Florida, promises to be a spectacle, and Krizo’s participation adds an extra layer of intrigue.

Elevating His Game: Michal Krizo’s Prep for 2023 Mr. Olympia

In the ultra-competitive world of professional bodybuilding, a title like Mr. Olympia isn’t just won on stage. The true battle is waged months prior, in countless hours at the gym, perfecting every nuance of the physique. Michal Krizo, a rising star in the bodybuilding sphere, recently unveiled his intense training regimen as he prepares for the 2023 Mr. Olympia competition.

A Regimen of Rigor: Six Days a Week

Krizo isn’t taking any shortcuts. Committing to a grueling six-day-a-week training regimen underscores his determination. But it’s not just the frequency of his workouts that stands out. The intensity is cranked up a notch. Krizo emphasized that the “breaks are shorter now,” suggesting a higher-intensity, lower-rest protocol. Such an approach is well-regarded for both muscle hypertrophy and improved conditioning, critical components for any Olympia hopeful.

Diverse and Repetitive: Targeting Every Muscle Group

Delving deeper into his workout blueprint, Krizo shared that he typically incorporates four exercises for each body part. While this might seem standard, the catch is that he revisits each muscle group multiple times a week. This approach, known as high-frequency training, is believed to stimulate consistent muscle growth throughout the week. By hitting each muscle group multiple times, Krizo ensures consistent muscle stimulus, optimizing growth and repair.

Driven by Passion and Precision

Behind Krizo’s rigorous training routine lies a blend of passion and strategic planning. The shorter breaks intensify his workouts, pushing his endurance and promoting better muscle engagement. His choice to employ four exercises per body part ensures comprehensive muscle targeting, from primary movers to stabilizing muscles. And the decision to train each area multiple times a week is a nod to modern training philosophies that advocate for frequent muscle engagement.

The Road to Olympia

A Journey of Dedication With the 2023 Mr. Olympia on the horizon, Michal Krizo’s intense preparation sheds light on the dedication and meticulous planning required to compete at the world’s highest bodybuilding stage. As fans and fellow competitors await the main event, one thing is certain: Krizo’s commitment to bringing his best is unwavering.

“Definitely. I train six times a week now. I train 3-4 times in the off-season. Breaks are shorter now. It’s more intense now. In the off-season, it’s more just around the gym and doing a set after five minutes of walking around. And I train for more strength but not so much now.”

“Yes, I am doing more reps now. Same, I do 4 sets [per body part]. Depends, if it’s a smaller or bigger muscle group. For example, biceps, it’s only two exercises for biceps, three exercises for triceps. For chest, I have 3-4 exercise, I think. Four exercises four back, but I train back twice a week. Three exercises for chest, but I train it tiwce a week. Three exercises for shoulders, but I train them twice a week. I do four exercises for quads, three exercises for hamstrings, two exercises for calves.”

Krizo’s 2023 Olympia Training Split

  • Monday – Back and chest
  • Tuesday – Triceps and shoulders
  • Wednesday – Quads
  • Thursday – Back and biceps
  • Friday – Chest and delts
  • Saturday – Hamstrings, glutes, calves
  • Sunday – Rest day

The striking image not only showcased his dedication but also set the tone for what to expect in the impending Olympia.

Krizo’s engagement with his fans doesn’t stop at mere physique updates. Through various mediums, he’s been providing detailed glimpses into his training routines. Fans have witnessed the intensity of his quad-centric leg days and observed the meticulous attention he pays during his triceps and shoulder workouts. These peeks into his routine highlight a clear intent: Krizo is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to present a more refined and complete package on stage.

The New Pro’s Aspirations for Olympia

Michal Krizo’s entry into the professional realm of bodybuilding might be recent, but his impact has been anything but subtle. Earning the ‘dark horse’ moniker isn’t merely about being an underdog; it signifies an element of surprise and potential. And Krizo embodies both. His exceptional muscle mass, coupled with the fullness and definition he brings, suggests he isn’t merely aiming to participate; he’s setting his sights on a prominent position.

For those wishing for an in-depth view of Krizo’s preparation, the full experience is beautifully chronicled in a video on his official YouTube channel, capturing the spirit of his journey and the promise of what’s to come:
