The Arnold Strongman Classic announced on February 22, 2023, that Kevin Faires will replace Maxime Boudreault. Faires, a newcomer, is set to make his debut in this competition. Mitchell Hooper, another first-time competitor, will still represent Canada. The updated list of participants is available below.
After Boudreault’s withdrawal, Kevin Faires was named as his replacement. This marks Faires’ first appearance in the Arnold Strongman Classic. Despite Boudreault’s absence, Mitchell Hooper will still compete for Canada. The revised lineup is provided below.

As of the time of writing, the World’s Strongest Man (WSM) competition has not announced a replacement for Maxime Boudreault.
In recent years, Boudreault has emerged as a rising star in strongman competitions. Furthermore, he won the title of Canada’s Strongest Man in 2022 and became the first-ever champion of the Magnus ver Magnusson Classic in 2021.
However, despite his injury, Boudreault plans to attend the Arnold Strongman Classic (ASC) to fulfill other commitments. The duration of his recovery and his return to competition remain uncertain. He has not provided a specific timeline for his recovery.
