Every generation of sports produces a breakout star. In powerlifting, that star is Malik Bernoussi Triolet’s and below we are looking at his epic Lift. Clearly, he has redefined what early success and strength look like. Therefore, his rapid rise is drawing attention around the world.

To begin with, Malik started lifting at a young age. Furthermore, he trained during a time when sports science and nutrition were gaining ground. As a result, he made progress much faster than his peers. In fact, his early lifts already hinted at elite potential.

Meanwhile, his family recognized his rare talent. Consequently, they invested in professional coaching and structured support. In addition, they prioritized mentorship to shape his mental approach. Ultimately, this gave Malik an edge when competing at higher levels.

Finally, his breakout moment came at the 2023 EPF European Juniors and Sub-Juniors Classic Powerlifting Championships. Notably, he approached each lift with calm precision. More importantly, he broke the U93KG IPF Junior World Record. Without a doubt, Malik Bernoussi Triolet has arrived—and the powerlifting world is now watching.

Analyzing the Budapest Performance

Malik’s performance in Budapest was more than just a tally of kilograms. Instead, it revealed his sharp tactics, disciplined preparation, and calm under pressure. Specifically, he opened with a 205-kilogram bench press. Then, he stunned the audience with a 221-kilogram (487.2-pound) lift. Clearly, this was a bold signal of his ambitions.

However, sports are rarely defined by wins alone. In fact, Malik’s struggle with deadlifts offered a deeper insight into his journey. Still, those challenges didn’t rattle him. Rather, they showed his resilience and focus on long-term goals. Therefore, his setbacks only add depth to his rise.

Meanwhile, powerlifting itself has undergone major change. Once rooted in garage gyms, it now embraces data, recovery science, and high-tech training tools. Yet, Malik stands out even among modern athletes. Not just because of his records—but because he dares to stretch the limits of what’s possible.

Looking ahead, the story is far from over. Granted, his résumé already places him among powerlifting’s elite. But he’s just getting started. With the Tokyo Powerlifting Championships coming up, all eyes are on him again. Surely, fans will be watching to see if he raises the bar—once more.
