Kamal Elgargni’s 2023 Bodybuilding Goals Include Potential Masters Olympia Debut
Elgargni is now in a stage of his career where he can stand out among both contemporary and historical bodybuilding icons.
As one of the top competitors at the upcoming 2023 Arnold Classic (AC), Kamal Elgargni is set to take on Men’s Open powerhouses such as Nick Walker and Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay. While he aims for victory at the Columbus, OH contest, Elgargni is also looking ahead to the rest of the 2023 competitive season, even after the dust settles on the AC, having placed third in the 212 division at the 2022 Mr. Olympia.
During a guest appearance on the Muscular Development podcast with Ron Harris on February 28, 2023, the former 212 Olympia champion (2019) shared his bodybuilding aspirations for the year. In the course of the conversation, Elgargni revealed that he is open to the possibility of competing in the upcoming 2023 Masters Olympia scheduled for August 26-27, 2023 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The competition is making its comeback after an 11-year hiatus, and this would be Elgargni’s first appearance in the event.

Elgargni has not won an Olympia podium in some time. However, if he has a successful 2023, he could potentially win two podiums.
