Kai Greene Shares His Views on Various Substances in Bodybuilding During an Interview

Kai Greene may have retired from competitive bodybuilding in 2016, but he is still a major influencer in the fitness industry. He remains active by crushing workouts daily and sharing his expertise with others through coaching. During a recent interview, Greene was asked to share his opinions on steroids and testosterone replacement therapy. He also discussed his current diet regimen.

Throughout his impressive two-decade career in Men’s Open bodybuilding, Greene faced off against some of the world’s greatest athletes, such as Jay Cutler and Dexter Jackson. However, his rivalry with Phil Heath on the Olympia stage is what made him most famous. Fans were captivated by the intense competition between the two bodybuilders.

These days, Greene concentrates on his personal training and coaching activities. He is also prominently featured in the documentary “Kai” from Generation Iron, which chronicles his remarkable life and career in bodybuilding. Those who want to learn more about this iconic figure in the sport can watch the documentary for a comprehensive and official look at his life.

Kai Greene Delves into the Topics of Steroids, TRT, and Diet Plans in Recent Interview

Kai Greene was interviewed by Adam’s Apple YouTube page where he discussed his current diet plan and steroid usage. According to Greene, his diet varies between 2,500 and 6,000 calories per day, and it depends on his target. He also mentioned that this requires particular work and that the numbers can vary depending on the preparation process.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) has become a popular replacement for steroids and Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs). However, according to Kai Greene, TRT is still considered a steroid. Whether it is used for natural male hormone replacement therapy or for performance-enhancing purposes, testosterone is still a steroid to his knowledge. Nevertheless, Greene acknowledged that there are plenty of supplements available designed to boost natural testosterone production.

Kai Greene, during his professional career, openly admitted to competing naturally for over 15 years, driven by his strong belief in natural athletic performance. He emphasized the importance of finding out what one could achieve without the use of performance-enhancing drugs.

“I BELIEVE IN UNENHANCED ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE. I BELIEVE THERE’S A LOT OF CHILDREN GETTING INVOLVED IN THE SPORT NEWLY. IT’S IMPORTANT TO BE ABLE TO FIND OUT WHAT YOU CAN DO AND BE WILLING TO GO AS FAR AS YOU CAN AND BEYOND THAT, FROM AN UNENHANCED PERSPECTIVE, BEING NATURAL. I COMPETED FOR MORE THAN 15 YEARS AS AN UNENHANCED NATURAL ATHLETE, VERY, VERY, VERY PROUD OF THAT.”

 

Although Kai Greene has retired from professional competition, his legacy in bodybuilding remains strong due to his natural approach to training and his past success on stage. Throughout his career, he was able to maximize his physical potential without resorting to performance-enhancing drugs, making him an influential voice in the industry.
