Kai Greene Leaves Door Open for Potential Comeback, Despite Hiatus Since 2016

Kai Greene, a renowned bodybuilder who last competed in 2016, recently hinted at the possibility of returning to the stage during a recent interview. Although nothing is confirmed, Greene did not rule out the idea of a comeback.

Despite never winning an Olympia, Greene’s impressive physique and size made him a two-time Arnold Classic champion and winner of other prestigious bodybuilding competitions such as the New York Pro. He is dregarded as one of the best bodybuilders to have never won a Sandow Trophy.

Greene’s rivalry with Phil Heath during numerous Olympia competitions remains one of the greatest in the history of bodybuilding. In 2011, he placed third at the Olympia and finished as the runner-up for the following three years.

Though he has not competed in recent years, Greene continues to train himself in the gym and coaches others. He is also the subject of the Generation Iron documentary “Kai,” which offers a comprehensive look into the life and career of the bodybuilding legend. The film is available for viewing here.

Kai Greene discusses potential comeback and refuses to rule it out completely:

Kai Greene Talks About Potential Comeback in Recent Muscular Development Interview

In a recent discussion with Muscular Development, Kai Greene spoke about his future plans and the possibility of a return to the stage after a hiatus of almost seven years. Despite his long absence, Greene has remained active in the gym and has maintained his impressive physique.

When asked about the likelihood of a comeback, Greene stated that he never officially retired and that he would never want to say never. He expressed excitement for the new year and suggested that he could not be counted out.

Greene also made it clear that he is not retired and that he believes in progressing forward with the development that is important to him. While a comeback is not guaranteed, fans of the bodybuilding legend can take comfort in the fact that he has not ruled it out.

Kai Greene Addresses Rivalry with Phil Heath, Acknowledges Heath’s Accomplishments:

During his discussion with Muscular Development, Kai Greene also spoke about his rivalry with Phil Heath, stating that while he is not a personal fan of Heath, he does not take any credit away from the athlete. Greene acknowledged Heath’s impressive accomplishments and stated that there was no way he could discredit them.

While Greene has not made any official plans for a comeback to the stage, he has been actively helping other athletes train in the gym. He also shared some insight into his diet plan, which involves consuming between 2,500 and 6,000 calories per day.

Despite the lack of concrete plans for a comeback, fans of the sport would undoubtedly love to see Greene and Heath back on the stage together.

Kai Greene, a former bodybuilding champion, has not competed since 2016 but has not ruled out a potential return to the sport. In a recent interview with Muscular Development, Greene stated that he had not formally retired and that the future was uncertain. He also discussed his rivalry with fellow bodybuilder Phil Heath, acknowledging Heath’s impressive accomplishments and stating that he did not take any credit away from him. Although there are no concrete plans for a comeback, Greene’s continued dedication to the sport and his willingness to leave the door open for a potential return have kept fans hopeful.
