On March 25, 2023, the Sheffield Powerlifting Championships was the venue for numerous record-breaking performances across various divisions. The event saw the participation of elite powerlifters such as Amanda Lawrence, who led the way in setting new benchmarks for the sport. Among them was the 52-kilogram athlete Evie Corrigan, who added her name to the extensive list of powerlifting champions with her stunning display of strength and skill.
Evie Corrigan’s Raw IPF World Records
Competing in the Sheffield championships, Corrigan scored two raw International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Records. Her first record was in the deadlift category, where she lifted a massive 202.5 kilograms (446.4 pounds). She went on to set her second record at the end of the competition, with a total weight of 460 kilograms (1,014.3 pounds).

Although Corrigan’s achievements were indeed remarkable, they came with a caveat. Fellow 52-kilogram athlete Jenn Rotsinger had previously set a deadlift record of 202.5 kilograms (446.4 pounds) at the 2019 United States Powerlifting Association (USPA) The Tribute. Rotsinger’s total weight at the same competition was five kilograms more than Corrigan’s IPF raw World Record total. However, it is important to note that the USPA falls under the jurisdiction of the International Powerlifting League (IPL) and not the IPF. As a result, Rotsinger can claim the all-time raw deadlift and total World Records, but Corrigan stands alone in the 52-kilogram IPF class.
