Eddie “The Beast” Hall, a former winner of the 2017 World’s Strongest Man competition, is embarking on a new journey into bodybuilding, signaled by his intense back workout, and scheduled for late 2024. Furthermore, as he actively prepares for this transition, Hall is leaving no detail unchecked and exploring contingency plans. Moreover, Eddie Hall intense back workout, shared on February 19, 2023, reflects strategic preparation for success in bodybuilding.
On February 19, 2023, Hall shared a video on his YouTube channel, featuring a brisk back workout emphasizing bodybuilding. Also, this session represents a pivotal move in his evolving competitive pursuits. Notably, in late January 2023, Hall collaborated with IFBB Pro League member Jamie “The Giant” Christian for a back workout, including the participation of Hall’s son Max. Eddie Hall One-Hour Intense Back Workout

Eddie Hall’s latest back workout, centered on bodybuilding, is outlined below:

Deadlift

Firstly, the routine kicked off with the classic compound movement, the deadlift. Hall modified the exercise, opting for lighter weights to focus on a bodybuilding style. Also, using two 20-kilogram plates on each side as a warm-up and progressing to three plates for working sets, Hall emphasized a slow eccentric phase to maintain muscle tension for an extended duration.

In Hall’s words: “In bodybuilding, you’ve got to move the weight as slow and as painfully as possible.”

Hall described his revised reasoning in an unemotional and straightforward manner.

I love moving weights as hard as physically possible,” Hall said. “Unlike strongman where you just move the weight from A to B. And you win competitions, you win lots of money. No, no, no. In bodybuilding, you’ve got to move the weight as slow and as painfully as possible. And you can still win loads of money, so that’s good.”

Lat Pulldown/Machine Pulldown

Hall incorporated a superset of two lat pulldown variations to target different angles of his back. Moreover, alternating between conventional cable pulldowns and machine-based pulldowns with single-arm movement, each executed for three sets of 10 repetitions.

Incline Row/Seated Row

Transitioning to the next phase, Hall introduced another superset, combining incline rows and seated rows. Furthermore, With deliberate and steady motions, he completed three sets of each exercise to intensify muscular tension.

Dumbbell Hammer Curl

After the primary back exercises, Hall included bicep movements, starting with dumbbell hammer curls. This segment consisted of four sets.

Machine Biceps Curl

For the final segment, Hall focused on isolating his biceps using a strict curl machine. Employing an extended drop set, he progressively decreased the weight for an undisclosed total number of reps before concluding the comprehensive back and biceps workout.

As he adapts to the nuances of bodybuilding-oriented training, it’s evident that Hall is committed to maximizing his efforts, ensuring a successful outcome in his upcoming athletic venture.

Overview

Eddie “The Beast” Hall, a former World’s Strongest Man winner, is transitioning to bodybuilding in late 2024. Also, his intense back workout, shared on February 19, 2023, and collaboration with IFBB Pro League member Jamie “The Giant” Christian in January 2023, including son Max, reflects strategic preparation for success in bodybuilding. Moreover, the workout emphasizes controlled deadlifts, diverse lat pulldowns, incline and seated rows, hammer curls, and a strict curl machine for biceps.
