In July 2025, 🇬🇧 Eddie Hall welcomed longtime friend and four-time World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw into his training compound. The 2017 WSM champion walked Shaw through his four-story estate—specifically, the basement. Next, Hall revealed the true scale of the facility: a $1 million wellness gym bunker. Inside, it combines state-of-the-art gym equipment, recovery rooms, and family space—all under one roof.
Later this summer, Hall will go head-to-head with Robert Oberst at the Strongest Arm on Earth armwrestling contest on August 15. That same weekend, he’ll appear at the Strongest Man on Earth, hosted by Shaw as part of the 2025 Shaw Classic.

Eddie Hall $1 Million Underground Gym Bunker
Lets dive into Eddie Hall Underground Gym Bunker.
Recovery Chamber
First, Hall showcased one of his favorite tools: a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. The chamber supports recovery by improving oxygen delivery to muscles.
“An hour in this is the same as having 12 hours outside of normal recovery time,”
— Eddie Hall
Then, Shaw offered his own experience. He also owns a chamber and emphasized its effectiveness:
“It’s incredible.”
In Hall’s routine, the chamber fits between his two daily training sessions. Recovery, for him, is just as serious as the workout itself.
Special Machine Weaponry
After touring the recovery space, Hall guided Shaw through his gym floor. He pointed to plate-loaded machines from Hammer Strength. These tools, Hall said, helped him train for—and win—the World’s Strongest Man.
Now, he’s back to using them with a purpose.
Next, Hall showed off his custom shoulder press. It holds up to seven plates on each side.
“I believe it’s one of the best builders for shoulder power,”
— Eddie Hall
Then, he pointed to the leg press—his secret weapon for deadlifting.
“Leg press the earth away from you.”
— Eddie Hall
Hall used that technique to become the first man to deadlift 500 kilograms (1,102 pounds) in 2016.
Therapeutic Arsenal
In addition to heavy lifting, Hall’s facility includes cutting-edge recovery technologies. His toolkit features:
-
Red light therapy
-
Shockwave therapy
-
Cryotherapy chamber
-
Electrical stimulation devices
Each method helps reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and speed recovery. These tools allow Hall to train hard, more often, and avoid injury.
The Backyard Spa
Beyond the therapy room lies a full spa. First, Hall installed a 12-meter swimming pool for low-impact active recovery. Then came the infrared sauna and hot-and-cold plunge tubs.
“Swimming is big in my recovery,”
— Eddie Hall
Cold plunges offer additional benefits. They can reduce inflammation and fight delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). While a 2023 review of over 3,000 subjects confirmed various benefits, researchers cautioned about long-term use. Some findings suggest frequent cold immersion may hinder muscle growth.
Still, the tools remain valuable when used with purpose.
Vitamin D Sunbed
Hall lives in the 🇬🇧 UK, where sunlight is limited. So, he added a full-body UVB/UVA sunbed to maintain vitamin D levels naturally.
“Vitamin D levels drop massively… supplementing is great, but the most efficient and natural way is through light,”
— Eddie Hall
Sunlight helps the body synthesize vitamin D, which supports bones, immunity, and mood. Although supplements can raise vitamin D levels faster, exposure to natural light has additional health effects, including improved sleep and potential cancer protection.
A Gym in the Bunker
Finally, Hall mentioned one more project under development: a nuclear-safe bunker gym.
“You have to have a gym if you’re staying underground for a month,”
— Eddie Hall
For Hall, training isn’t optional—even in survival scenarios. His goal is to build a performance hub that can function during any crisis. For now, the $1 million build represents more than luxury. It’s a foundation for strength, recovery, and long-term health.

- Eddie Hall Builds $1 Million Home Gym Bunker
Overview
In July 2025, Eddie Hall unveiled his $1 million home gym bunker to fellow strongman Brian Shaw. Notably, the underground facility sits inside Hall’s four-story UK home. It includes elite recovery tools, plate-loaded machines, and a private spa. Moreover, Hall uses a hyperbaric chamber, red light therapy, and cold plunges daily. He trains twice a day and treats recovery with equal intensity. Additionally, he revealed plans to build a nuclear-safe gym bunker below the current one. Now, as he prepares to face Robert Oberst in the upcoming “Strongest Arm on Earth,” Hall’s fortress blends peak performance with future-proof design.
