The King of the Table 13 event brought world-class arm wrestling to Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino in New Jersey. More importantly, fans witnessed a Arm wrestling showdown between Eddie Hall, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man, and Brian Shaw, a four-time WSM champion. For both athletes, this marked their arm wrestling debuts, adding intrigue to the competition.
At first, the best-of-seven series electrified the crowd. Soon after, Hall and Shaw clashed with explosive energy, delivering moments of suspense and humor. However, Hall’s animated trash talk stole much of the spotlight. Each time Shaw disengaged during tough grips, Hall voiced his frustration loudly.
As the rounds progressed, Shaw began to lean on his size advantage. Gradually, his strength and endurance became more apparent. Despite Hall’s aggressive tactics, Shaw controlled the later stages with precision.
In the end, Shaw secured an undeniable victory by winning four of six rounds. As a result, the seventh round was unnecessary. Ultimately, both competitors demonstrated grit, but Shaw’s strategy and power led him to triumph.

Brian Shaw Triumphs Over Eddie Hall in Arm Wrestling Debut
Shaw’s clash with Hall marked his first step into a new competitive arena since retiring from professional strongman in 2023. Initially, Shaw was set to debut in mixed martial arts against Mitchell Hooper. However, that bout fell through due to funding issues with the promoter. Ultimately, Shaw found another milestone in 2024 when he was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame alongside seven-time Mr. Olympia, Phil Heath.
Hall’s post-strongman career has been a turbulent ride. Following his 2017 World’s Strongest Man victory, he faced a major setback by tearing his biceps in training. Afterward, Hall lost his pro boxing debut to 2018 WSM champion Hafthor Björnsson. Despite these challenges, Hall has remained in the public eye.

Moreover, Hall has participated in several strongman contests since his boxing loss. He notably led Team UK at the Giants Live World’s Strongest Nation contests. As a result, Hall has continued to contribute to the strongman community, even after stepping away from the competition himself.
In addition, Hall ventured into indie pro wrestling, marking yet another chapter in his post-strongman journey. Clearly, Hall has refused to fade into the background, continuously seeking new avenues for competition and growth.
