Wanderson Da Silva Moreira, a 30-year-old bodybuilder from Brazil, died after collapsing during a bodybuilding competition on May 10, 2025.
According to local reports, the incident occurred during the Pantanal Bodybuilding Championship in Campo Grande, a city in western Brazil. Specifically, Moreira had just completed his performance when he collapsed backstage.
Immediately, paramedics rushed to help and treated him at the scene. However, despite their efforts for over an hour, he was pronounced dead.
Earlier, a close friend revealed that Moreira had felt unwell the day before the show. Still, he insisted on competing, determined not to withdraw from the event.
Following the tragedy, his coach shared a message on social media. Notably, he described Moreira as a disciplined and dedicated athlete. In the end, he called the loss “heartbreaking.”
“I have no words to describe the depth of sadness and shock I still feel. He was not just an athlete, he was a great friend, a family man, a man with a huge heart who was always willing to help those who needed him.”

Just days earlier, Guilherme Henrique—also known as Gui Bull—died at the age of 30. According to his girlfriend, Jessica Belenello, the cause of death was asphyxiation due to bronchoaspiration.
In response, Belenello asked the public to respect their grieving process. Furthermore, she urged people to stop spreading rumors and focus on the facts of Henrique’s passing.
“The cause of death was asphyxiation due to bronchoaspiration and has nothing to do with the speculation that has been circulating. If you don’t have anything good to say, a word of affection, consolation or respect, simply keep quiet.”

Gui Bull competed in both Classic Physique and Classic Bodybuilding throughout his career. Notably, he won five championships. His success earned him recognition in the bodybuilding community.
Henrique’s academic background was equally impressive. He held a degree in Biology from the State University of Paraná. Additionally, he earned a master’s degree and PhD in Biochemistry. At the time of his death, he was pursuing a degree in Nutrition at the University Center of Maringá.
