Since its introduction, the Wellness division has captivated bodybuilding fans worldwide. Over time, it has grown into one of the sport’s most exciting categories. Now, it takes center stage at two major events: the Wellness Olympia and the Wellness International. The 2025 Wellness International will feature past winners Nunes, Gillis, and Mattos competing for the title.
At first, the Wellness International was just an experiment. Over the years, it has become a key part of the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio. So far, it has crowned three different champions, proving how competitive the division has become.
Looking ahead, the 2025 Wellness International promises another intense showdown. This time, two former champions will return to battle for another title. Meanwhile, several top contenders will aim to shake up the division.
Without a doubt, the competition has never been fiercer. Either a past champion will reclaim the throne, or a rising star will seize the moment. No matter what, fans can expect an unforgettable event.

In 2023, however, Kassandra Gillis took the crown, as Nunes was sidelined by injury and Mattos sat out. Borges again finished in second, while Rayane Fogal secured third. Most recently, in 2024, Francielle Mattos dominated the competition, securing her first Wellness International win after her third Olympia title. Isabelle Nunes (2022)
At first, the Wellness division needed a new rivalry. Francielle Mattos had dominated the Olympia stage. However, the inaugural Wellness International aimed to find another top contender. This contest would determine who could challenge her reign.
Early predictions favored Angela Borges. She had placed second at the Olympia and was seen as the clear frontrunner. However, Isabelle Nunes had other plans. She delivered a near-flawless performance and took the title in a stunning upset.
Borges had to settle for second place. She came in strong but could not match Nunes’ shape and conditioning. Meanwhile, Sunny Andrews finished third, making her presence known in a highly competitive lineup.
The victory cemented Nunes as a legitimate threat. She had proven she could beat one of the division’s best. The win also raised new questions. Could she challenge Mattos at the Olympia? Or was this just a one-time upset?

The Canadian competitor stepped up when it mattered most. She delivered a polished routine and impressed the judges. In the end, she walked away as the new champion. Borges finished second, while Rayane Fogal secured third.
Gillis’ victory reshaped the division. A new contender had emerged. With Nunes and Mattos returning later in the year, the competition was heating up. The Wellness division was no longer predictable.
