In 2018, the Arnold Classic Physique contest made its debut. Breon Ansley, the reigning Classic Physique Olympia champion, entered as the favorite. As expected, he delivered a dominant performance.
At the same time, Arash Rahbar gave a strong challenge but finished second. Courage Opara, showcasing a solid physique, took third place. Ansley’s win confirmed his place at the top of the division.
Later that year, he carried his momentum into the Olympia. Once again, he stood victorious. His second Olympia title cemented his legacy in Classic Physique history.

George Peterson III (2019)
In 2019, the division saw a new champion. George Peterson III, known for his thick back and sharp conditioning, claimed the title. His victory left no doubt about his dominance.
Meanwhile, Steve Laureus put up a strong fight but had to settle for second. Courage Opara remained consistent, finishing third once again. Peterson’s performance solidified his reputation as one of the best in Classic Physique.
Shortly after, he moved up to the 212 division. Sadly, in 2021, tragedy struck. Just before the Olympia, Peterson passed away at the age of 37.

Alex Cambronero (2020)
In 2020, the Arnold Classic faced unexpected challenges. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fans were not allowed to attend. Despite the unusual circumstances, Alex Cambronero delivered an outstanding performance.
At the same time, Terrence Ruffin showed signs of greatness but had to settle for second. Steve Laureus continued his strong run, finishing third. Cambronero’s victory placed him among the division’s elite.
More importantly, this win made history. With contests canceled worldwide, the Arnold Classic remained one of the year’s biggest events. Cambronero’s triumph became a defining moment in bodybuilding that season.

Terrence Ruffin (2021–2022)
By 2021, Terrence Ruffin was ready for redemption. After finishing second the year before, he entered with something to prove. This time, he delivered a flawless performance.
At the same time, Alex Cambronero, the defending champion, fought hard but finished second. Logan Franklin, with his aesthetic look, secured third. Ruffin’s win made him the fourth Arnold Classic Physique champion.
One year later, he returned stronger. In 2022, he successfully defended his title. Ramon Rocha Queiroz pushed him to the limit, but Ruffin held his ground. With this victory, he became the first two-time Arnold Classic Physique winner.

Ramon Rocha Queiroz (2023)
In 2023, the stage belonged to Ramon Rocha Queiroz. After finishing second in 2022, he returned with a mission. This time, he would not be denied.
Meanwhile, Urs Kalecinski delivered a close battle but had to settle for second. Alex Cambronero, proving his longevity, secured third place. Queiroz’s victory confirmed his status as one of the division’s biggest stars.
Most notably, his win felt like a shift in the division. When Arnold Schwarzenegger handed him the trophy, Queiroz celebrated with confidence. The “Ramon Dino” era had officially begun.

Wesley Vissers (2024)
By 2024, many expected Ramon Rocha Queiroz to repeat as champion. However, Wesley Vissers arrived in the best shape of his career. With his towering presence and old-school aesthetics, he shocked the world.
At the same time, Queiroz fought to reclaim his title but fell short. Urs Kalecinski, once again, finished third. Vissers’ victory brought a new look to the division.
More importantly, his posing and structure drew comparisons to Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. With this win, he established himself as a major force. The question now is whether he can defend his title in 2025.
