Farhad Noori, an Afghan bodybuilder who competed at the NPC level, has admitted to driving a car into a crowd in Munich attack. Consequently, 36 people were injured in the attack. Authorities are now treating the incident as an act of Islamic extremism.
According to multiple reports, Noori deliberately crashed a Mini Cooper into a gathering of 1,500 people. Shortly after, police arrested him at the scene. Once in custody, he began praying and shouted “Allahu Akbar,” which translates to “God is most great.”
Furthermore, Prosecutor Gabriele Tilmann revealed that Noori’s interrogation lasted more than two hours. During questioning, he cited “religious motivation” for his actions. At this time, officials believe he acted alone and had no links to any terrorist organization.

In response, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has demanded Noori’s deportation. Meanwhile, political leaders are pushing for stricter immigration policies. Ultimately, the attack has reignited debates over national security and extremist threats in Germany.
“This perpetrator cannot hope for any leniency. He must be punished and he must leave the country. If it was an attack, we must take consistent action against possible perpetrators with all means of justice.”
The attack occurred just one mile from a high-profile conference in Munich. Notably, several world leaders attended the event. Among them was Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
