Triple H
Before becoming Triple H, Paul Michael Levesque built his body through years of bodybuilding. As a teenager, he admired Ric Flair and decided to chase the same kind of powerful look. From there, he spent hours in the gym shaping his frame.
After high school, Levesque stepped onto bodybuilding stages. In fact, he went on to win the title of Mr. New Hampshire, proving his hard work in training paid off. Therefore, he established credibility as both a competitor and a strongman.
That discipline carried into wrestling. Eventually, his size and presence made him stand out in WWE. Ultimately, bodybuilding gave him the base to build one of the most legendary wrestling careers ever.
The Ultimate Warrior
The Ultimate Warrior brought unmatched energy to WWE crowds. However, before he became a star in the ring, Jim Hellwig first pursued bodybuilding. At the time, he wanted to develop a physique that would set him apart.
His journey led him to PowerTeam USA, a group of bodybuilders training to become wrestlers. That team included Garland Donoho, Mark Miller, Ed Brock, Steve Borden (Sting), and Hellwig himself. From there, he partnered with Sting to form The Blade Runners.
Their size and charisma gave them immediate attention. As a result, Hellwig’s transformation into The Ultimate Warrior became possible. Ultimately, his bodybuilding background helped him create one of the most iconic characters in wrestling history.
