The 2026 Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend will take place from September 24-27, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, bringing the world’s best professional bodybuilding and fitness athletes together for the biggest championship weekend of the year. Moreover, the event will feature 12 professional divisions, with the Olympia stage once again serving as the destination for athletes who earned their places during the qualification period that ran from September 15, 2025, through August 30, 2026.  2026 Olympia Qualified Athletes and Full Lineups are revealed below.

Additionally, the most anticipated storyline will be Derek Lunsford’s return to defend the Mr. Olympia title after winning the championship in 2025. Furthermore, Lunsford will face a field containing former champions, previous Olympia finalists, established veterans and rising contenders, creating another extremely competitive battle for the Sandow Trophy.

Moreover, the 2026 Olympia will also introduce another important chapter for the sport because Fit Model joins the event as the 12th professional division. Consequently, the weekend will feature Men’s Open Bodybuilding, Men’s 212 Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Wheelchair, Women’s Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure, Bikini, Women’s Physique, Wellness and Fit Model.

Furthermore, the qualification system allowed athletes to earn Olympia places through contest victories, previous Olympia finishes and division-specific qualification rules.

🥇 Who Is the Favorite to Win the 2026 Mr. Olympia?

Derek Lunsford enters the 2026 Olympia as the defending champion and therefore begins the season as the man every other Open competitor must defeat. Moreover, his championship experience gives him a major advantage because he has already demonstrated that he can peak successfully under Olympia pressure.

Additionally, Chinedu Obiekea, Samson Dauda, Nick Walker, Brandon Curry, Martin Fitzwater and the other leading Open competitors represent legitimate threats to Lunsford’s reign. Furthermore, the returning field includes athletes with previous top-five and top-ten Olympia finishes, meaning the champion will not have an easy path back to the top.

Consequently, the 2026 Mr. Olympia battle should be viewed as a championship defense rather than simply another lineup announcement. Moreover, the major question will be whether Lunsford can improve enough to maintain his advantage or whether one of the returning challengers can make the leap necessary to take the Sandow Trophy.

🏆 2025 Mr. Olympia vs. 2026

2025 Result Athlete 2026 Position in the Story
🥇 1st Derek Lunsford Defending champion
🥈 2nd Hadi Choopan Withdrew from the 2026 Olympia
🥉 3rd Chinedu Obiekea Leading returning contender
4th Samson Dauda Former champion seeking rebound
5th Martin Fitzwater Rising contender
6th Nick Walker Major mass threat
7th Brandon Curry Former champion
8th Tonio Burton Returning top contender
9th William Bonac Olympia veteran
14th Regan Grimes Potential rebound candidate

💪 2026 Mr. Olympia — Men’s Open Bodybuilding

The Men’s Open division remains the centerpiece of the entire Olympia weekend because its winner becomes the undisputed Mr. Olympia and takes home the most prestigious title in professional bodybuilding. Moreover, Derek Lunsford leads the championship conversation as the defending champion, while the returning field includes several athletes who have already challenged for the top positions.

Additionally, Chinedu Obiekea enters after establishing himself as a major contender, while Samson Dauda returns as a former Mr. Olympia champion who will be looking to improve on his previous result. Furthermore, Nick Walker, Brandon Curry, Martin Fitzwater, William Bonac, Tonio Burton, James Hollingshead and Regan Grimes add even more experience and competitive depth.

Consequently, the 2026 Open contest should produce a fascinating comparison with last year’s championship because many of the leading names are returning to the same stage. Moreover, the athletes who can combine maximum muscularity with the sharpest conditioning will have the best opportunity to challenge Lunsford for the Sandow Trophy.

2026 212 Olympia

The Men’s 212 Olympia remains one of the most competitive divisions because athletes must combine exceptional muscular development with the division’s weight requirements. Moreover, the 2026 field contains established champions and experienced Olympia competitors alongside several international athletes making their first appearance.

Additionally, Breon Ansley brings an especially compelling storyline after transitioning from Classic Physique and winning the 2026 World of Monsterzym Asian Pro Championships in his 212 debut. Furthermore, former champion Keone Pearson and established contenders such as Shaun Clarida, Nasser Mohammad and Zhaofeng He give the division considerable championship depth.

Consequently, the 2026 212 Olympia could become one of the most interesting divisions of the weekend because Ansley has already demonstrated that his physique can immediately compete at a high level in the heavier category. Moreover, the returning veterans will have the opportunity to show whether experience and established 212 physiques can overcome the momentum of the division’s newest major contender.

2026 Classic Physique Olympia

Classic Physique continues to be one of the most popular divisions at the Olympia because it places a major emphasis on proportion, symmetry, presentation and a classic silhouette. Moreover, the division has developed into one of the deepest categories in the IFBB Pro League, with 27 qualified athletes listed for the 2026 Olympia.

Additionally, Ramon Rocha Queiroz, Mike Sommerfeld, Wesley Vissers, Terrence Ruffin, Fabio Junio and several other established names give the contest significant championship experience. Furthermore, international athletes from Europe, Asia, North America and South America make the 2026 field particularly diverse.

Consequently, the Classic Physique battle will be determined by which athletes can deliver the best combination of shape, conditioning and posing rather than simply the greatest amount of muscle. Moreover, the depth of the field means athletes outside the most obvious favorites could dramatically influence the final standings.

Additionally, Brandon Hendrickson, Ryan Terry, Edvan Palmeira, Emanuel Hunter, Jason Huynh, Jeremiah Maxey and several other established professionals bring significant experience to the contest. Furthermore, the field includes competitors from North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Consequently, the Men’s Physique title will come down to the athletes who can deliver the right balance of muscularity, conditioning, waistline and presentation. Additionally, Gabriele Andriulli, Harold Kelley, James Berger, Josué Fabiano, Karol Milewski and Ephraim Gudgeon bring substantial experience to the division. Furthermore, the presence of athletes from several different countries demonstrates the continued international expansion of wheelchair bodybuilding.

2026 Ms. Olympia — Women’s Bodybuilding

The Ms. Olympia remains the premier women’s bodybuilding championship and will once again bring the strongest athletes in the division together on the Olympia stage. Moreover, the 2026 field contains 12 qualified competitors, including reigning champion Andrea Shaw and several established international contenders.

Additionally, Andrea Shaw remains the central figure in the division because of her championship pedigree and ability to combine extraordinary muscularity with elite conditioning. Furthermore, Alide Opre, Anastasia Korableva, Nadia Capotosto, Leyvina Barros and the other qualified athletes provide a deep international challenge.

Consequently, the 2026 Ms. Olympia will be another opportunity for Shaw to demonstrate why she remains the standard in women’s bodybuilding. Moreover, the challengers will need to bring exceptional conditioning, muscular detail and stage presence if they hope to prevent another championship run.

🤸 2026 Fitness Olympia

The Fitness Olympia remains unique because competitors must combine an impressive physique with demanding athletic routines and performance ability. Moreover, the 2026 field contains 11 qualified athletes, making it one of the smaller Olympia divisions while maintaining considerable championship quality.

Additionally, Oksana Grishina’s absence from the current qualified roster leaves a competitive field led by athletes such as Michelle Fredua-Mensah, Jaclyn Baker, Stephanie Jones, Taylor Learmont and Samantha Radzai. Furthermore, every competitor must prepare for both the physique judging and the performance component that defines the division.

Consequently, the 2026 Fitness Olympia could produce a particularly open championship battle because the division rewards athletes who can excel in multiple areas. Moreover, consistency between physique presentation and routine execution will be crucial when the judges determine the final standings.

2026 Figure Olympia

Figure remains one of the most established women’s divisions in the Olympia, requiring athletes to balance muscular development with symmetry, proportion and conditioning. Moreover, the 2026 qualification roster contains 34 athletes, making Figure one of the deeper women’s categories on the weekend.

Additionally, athletes such as An Da Jeong, Kristina Zafirova, Lauren Calderoni, Missy Truscott, Natalia Soltero, Lena Ramsteiner and Tamera Barrett bring significant competitive experience. Furthermore, the division’s international depth means the judges will have a wide range of physiques to compare throughout the weekend.

Consequently, the Figure Olympia should produce a demanding battle for the top positions because small differences in symmetry, conditioning and presentation can determine final placings. Moreover, the athletes who arrive with the most complete combination of shape and stage conditioning will have the best opportunity to separate themselves.

Overview

The 2026 Olympia will bring together an elite international field across 12 professional divisions, with the Men’s Open championship remaining the central attraction of the weekend. Moreover, Derek Lunsford’s title defense creates the most important storyline, while the return of major contenders gives the Open division a strong comparison with last year’s championship.

Additionally, the other divisions provide their own major battles, with Breon Ansley entering his first 212 Olympia after his successful transition from Classic Physique and the Classic, Figure, Bikini, Wellness and Fit Model divisions featuring deep international fields. Furthermore, the introduction of Fit Model means the 2026 Olympia will make history by crowning the first champion in that division.

Finally, the Olympia will take place in Las Vegas from September 24-27, 2026, with athletes from around the world competing for the sport’s most prestigious titles. Consequently, the weekend will determine which reigning champions maintain their positions, which challengers finally break through and which new stars emerge on bodybuilding’s biggest stage.
