The 2026 Europe’s Strongest Man unfolded on April 11 in Leeds, where a loaded field of twelve elite competitors battled across five brutal events. Consequently, the contest immediately established itself as one of the most competitive editions in recent memory. Event One — Webster Stone Walk

The Webster Stone Walk opened the contest with a raw display of grip strength and endurance. Consequently, athletes faced uneven stones weighing 136 kg and 113 kg, forcing them to balance strength with control. Moreover, distances determined rankings, placing a premium on pacing and composure.

Next, Ondřej Fojtů immediately separated himself from the field. Therefore, he carried the stones an astonishing 51.75 meters. In addition, his margin over the field set the tone for the entire competition.

Then, Pavlo Kordiyaka and Adam Bishop followed with strong performances. As a result, they secured second and third, keeping early pressure on the leaderboard. Furthermore, the event exposed early gaps among the competitors.

Event Two — Log Press

The Log Press shifted the focus to overhead strength. Consequently, athletes had 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible at 150 kilograms. Moreover, efficiency and endurance played a decisive role.

Next, Ondřej Fojtů continued his dominance. Therefore, he completed nine repetitions to secure another event win. In addition, his consistency reinforced his position as the clear favorite.

Then, Luke Richardson and Pavlo Kordiyaka pushed the pace. As a result, they secured second and a tie for third alongside others. Furthermore, the leaderboard began to take shape.

Event Three — Axle Deadlift

The Axle Deadlift tested brute strength with a 350-kilogram bar. Consequently, athletes battled for maximum repetitions under fatigue. Moreover, the thick bar increased difficulty.

Next, Ondřej Fojtů matched Paddy Haynes at the top. Therefore, both athletes secured eight repetitions. In addition, the tie maintained Fojtů’s momentum.

Then, Adam Bishop and Patrick Eibel followed closely. As a result, they tied for second. Furthermore, the standings remained competitive behind the leader.

Then, Adam Bishop and Pavlo Kordiyaka followed closely. As a result, they secured second and third. Furthermore, Ondřej Fojtů finished sixth but had already secured the overall victory.
