The 2025 World’s Strongest Man Finals moved to the second event on Day Three: the 18” Max Deadlift. Next, athletes faced the challenge of lifting a heavily loaded barbell from just below the knees. This test pushed their raw strength to the limit. Often, this event changes the competition’s momentum.
Meanwhile, after the KNAACK Carry & Hoist, the leaderboard tightened. Specifically, Mitchell Hooper, Tom Stoltman, and Rayno Nel all had 29 points. Consequently, the contest became more intense. As a result, every point gained or lost grew more critical.
Moreover, Rayno Nel made a strong impression in his WSM debut. Indeed, his energy recalled Mitchell Hooper’s breakout performance in 2022. Thus, fans quickly recognized Nel as a serious contender. Furthermore, his showing added excitement to the competition.
Finally, the pressure on the athletes increased with each event. Therefore, every lift and hold now shaped the final standings. Meanwhile, the crowd in Sacramento waited for a dramatic finish. Undoubtedly, this battle for the title is far from over.
