The 2025 Western Canada’s Strongest Man took place over two days, June 7 and 8, in Devon, Alberta. Seventeen athletes—all Canadian—entered the arena. Together, they faced one of the most grueling strongman gauntlets of the season.

First, the contest opened with Squat Lift and Dinnie Stones, two brutal tests of foundational strength. Then, the Max Axle Press demanded power overhead. After that, athletes moved through Power Stairs, where strength met balance and fatigue.

Next, the Carry & Flip event tested endurance and coordination. Following that, competitors fought for reps in the Dumbbell Press. Finally, the Yoke & Truck Pull Medley led directly into Stone Over Bar, closing the weekend with a violent sprint of grip and will.

In the end, Colten Sloan took the crown at 2025 Western Canada’s Strongest Man. Remarkably, he scored 118.5 out of a possible 136 points. Without question, his performance separated him from the pack.
