The 2025 Strongman Champions League (SCL) Italy took place on June 7 in Crema, Italy. In total, twelve athletes representing eleven nations competed in the event. As expected, the five challenges tested their raw strength, endurance, and coordination.
Meanwhile, Rayno Nel of South Africa made his much-anticipated return to competition. Notably, this was his first contest since claiming the World’s Strongest Man title. From the opening event, he showed no signs of slowing down. In fact, Nel looked sharper than ever, eventually scoring 53 out of a possible 60 points.
Consequently, Nel stood alone at the top of the podium. However, the battle for second place was much tighter. Adam Roszkowski of Poland fought hard throughout the day and finished with 47.5 points. By contrast, Brian Kichton of the United States took third with 41 points, 6.5 behind Roszkowski.
Ultimately, the five events—Deadlift, Log Medley, Sandbag Toss, Hercules Hold, and Atlas Stones—separated the elite from the rest. Each event added tension and excitement for both fans and athletes. In the end, Nel once again proved why he wears the crown of the strongest man on earth.
