KRASNOYARSK, Russia — April 19–20. The 2025 Siberian Power Show kicked off with 12 strongmen from eight countries. To begin with, the lineup was stacked with talent from across the globe. As expected, the event drew serious attention on the strength sports calendar. By the end of day one, the competition was already heating up.

Throughout the weekend, athletes faced six punishing events. On Saturday, they opened with the Max Deadlift, Dumbbell Ladder, and Sandbag Toss. Then on Sunday, the action continued with the Axle Press, Medley, and Stone-to-Shoulder. In every event, the margin for error was razor-thin.

Ultimately, Mateusz Kieliszkowski of Poland delivered a dominant performance. In fact, he scored 64 of a possible 72 points. Event after event, he showed elite consistency and speed. As a result, he secured the overall win with authority.

Meanwhile, Hafthor Björnsson of Iceland made his presence known. After all, the 2018 World’s Strongest Man had something to prove in his return. Behind him, Russia’s David Shamey held off the rest of the field to take third. Together, the trio set the tone for the rest of the 2025 strongman season.
