The 2025 Moscow Sports Night Strongman took place under the bright lights of Russia’s capital. The competition brought together eight of the country’s top strongmen. Each athlete faced five classic events designed to test every facet of strength.
Next, the field battled through the Max Log Lift, Deadlift for Reps, Deadlift Hold, Dumbbell Press, and Stone-to-Shoulder. The contest demanded both brute power and muscular endurance. Points were awarded based on placement in each event, totaling a maximum of 40.
In the end, 🇷🇺 Ramil Ramazanov dominated the field. He walked away with 36 points, winning three of five events. His victory was nearly flawless, with only minor slips in the Deadlift and Hold.

Max Log Lift
The event required athletes to press a massive log overhead for a single max lift. 🇷🇺 Ramil Ramazanov stood alone at the top with 165 kilograms. His control and power in the press established momentum early.
Then, 🇷🇺 Egor Makarov and 🇷🇺 Dmitry Logunov tied for second, each hoisting 160 kilograms. The log, a signature strongman challenge, exposed shoulder strength and balance under load. This effort kept both men close behind the leader.
Finally, Roman Druzhinin followed at 155 kilograms. Others struggled below 150kg. 🇷🇺 Boris Kharlamov, surprisingly, logged just 120 kilograms, placing last and putting early pressure on his overall campaign.

Deadlift for Reps
The athletes faced an axle bar loaded with 320 or 260 kilograms. 🇷🇺 Dmitry Logunov crushed this event with eight reps at 320kg. His back strength and bar speed set the standard.
Afterward, 🇷🇺 Egor Makarov managed three reps at the same weight. 🇷🇺 Ramil Ramazanov, the eventual winner, pulled two—enough for third. The 320kg axle taxed every inch of the posterior chain.
Meanwhile, other athletes dropped to 260kg. 🇷🇺 Druzhinin and 🇷🇺 Gavrilenko tied with eight reps at that lighter load. The split in weights emphasized the gap between elite deadlifters and the rest.
| Rank | Athlete | Country | Weight Used | Reps |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Dmitry Logunov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 320 kg | 8 |
| 2 | Egor Makarov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 320 kg | 3 |
| 3 | Ramil Ramazanov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 320 kg | 2 |
| 4 | Boris Kharlamov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 320 kg | 1 |

| 7 | Artem Yuriev | 🇷🇺 Russia | 260 kg | 6 |
| 8 | Evgeny Klimenko | 🇷🇺 Russia | 260 kg | 1 |
Deadlift Hold (160kg)
Next came the static Deadlift Hold. This event tested grip, not brute force. 🇷🇺 Boris Kharlamov stunned the field by winning with a 56.81-second hold. His grip endurance was unmatched.
Moreover, 🇷🇺 Artem Yuriev was close behind with 54.63 seconds. 🇷🇺 Ramazanov came in third, holding for 45.12 seconds. Every second counted, as time under tension wore down even the strongest arms.
Finally, 🇷🇺 Logunov had a weak showing here, holding for only 33.57 seconds. This stumble cost him critical points in the overall tally. The static hold reshuffled the rankings heading into the final two events.
| Rank | Athlete | Country | Time Held |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Boris Kharlamov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 56.81 sec |
| 2 | Artem Yuriev | 🇷🇺 Russia | 54.63 sec |
| 3 | Ramil Ramazanov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 45.12 sec |
| 4 | Egor Makarov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 45.03 sec |
| 5 | Evgeny Gavrilenko | 🇷🇺 Russia | 43.07 sec |
| 6 | Evgeny Klimenko | 🇷🇺 Russia | 40.87 sec |
| 7 | Roman Druzhinin | 🇷🇺 Russia | 38.94 sec |
| 8 | Dmitry Logunov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 33.57 sec |
Dumbbell Press (100kg / 80kg)
Then came the Dumbbell Press—a fan favorite. Athletes were given 90 seconds to complete as many reps as possible with a heavy dumbbell. 🇷🇺 Ramil Ramazanov dominated again, locking out six reps at 100 kilograms.
Not far behind, 🇷🇺 Makarov and 🇷🇺 Logunov each pressed the dumbbell four times. The dumbbell’s size and awkwardness made the challenge more about technique than brute strength alone.
Conversely, 🇷🇺 Evgeny Klimenko failed to lift the implement. 🇷🇺 Gavrilenko completed only one rep—with the lighter 80kg version. The leaderboard widened once more as consistency proved key.
| Rank | Athlete | Country | Weight Used | Reps |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ramil Ramazanov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 100 kg | 6 |
| T-2 | Egor Makarov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 100 kg | 4 |
| T-2 | Dmitry Logunov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 100 kg | 4 |
| T-4 | Boris Kharlamov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 100 kg | 2 |
| T-4 | Roman Druzhinin | 🇷🇺 Russia | 100 kg | 2 |
| 6 | Artem Yuriev | 🇷🇺 Russia | 100 kg | 1 |
| 7 | Evgeny Gavrilenko | 🇷🇺 Russia | 80 kg | 1 |
| 8 | Evgeny Klimenko | 🇷🇺 Russia | — | 0 |
Stone-to-Shoulder (116kg)
| Rank | Athlete | Country | Reps |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ramil Ramazanov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 5 |
| 2 | Artem Yuriev | 🇷🇺 Russia | 4 |
| 3 | Roman Druzhinin | 🇷🇺 Russia | 3 |
| T-4 | Dmitry Logunov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 2 |
| T-4 | Boris Kharlamov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 2 |
| T-4 | Evgeny Klimenko | 🇷🇺 Russia | 2 |
| T-7 | Evgeny Gavrilenko | 🇷🇺 Russia | 1 |
| T-7 | Egor Makarov | 🇷🇺 Russia | 1 |
Lastly, the athletes faced the Stone-to-Shoulder event. Here, they cleaned a 116-kilogram atlas stone to shoulder height repeatedly. 🇷🇺 Ramazanov once again proved dominant, scoring five reps.
After that, 🇷🇺 Artem Yuriev followed with four reps, marking his best finish of the day. 🇷🇺 Roman Druzhinin came in strong with three. The stone tested raw power and conditioning at the contest’s end.
At the same time, 🇷🇺 Makarov could only manage one repetition. This slip cost him a shot at victory. 🇷🇺 Logunov tied for fourth, but it wasn’t enough to overtake Ramazanov’s commanding lead.
