RENO, Nev. — The 2025 Legion Sports Fest Pro returns on Saturday, May 31, to Reno, Nevada. This event features top-tier IFBB Pro League athletes competing for Olympia qualifications. Specifically, three men’s and three women’s divisions are on the schedule. As always, each winner secures a direct invitation to the 2025 Mr. Olympia in Las Vegas.

Historically, the Legion Sports Fest has grown in prominence within the bodybuilding calendar. Previously held later in the year, organizers moved the show earlier to boost athlete participation. Consequently, competitors now have a mid-season opportunity to qualify. So far, that change has only increased the event’s popularity and prestige.

Now, the stakes are higher than ever for athletes aiming to bypass the points system. By winning here, bodybuilders gain guaranteed access to the Olympia stage. In contrast, non-winners must fight for a limited number of points-based spots. Therefore, the Reno stage may decide the fate of several high-level competitors.

Beyond the stage, fans can expect a full weekend experience. In addition to contests, the event hosts a major fitness expo. Furthermore, fans will find seminars, meet-and-greets, and vendor booths. Overall, the Legion Sports Fest remains one of the IFBB’s most complete and well-attended shows.

Bruno Santos showed strong form last year with a fourth-place finish at the 2025 California State Pro. He also placed 13th at the 2024 Mr. Olympia. Therefore, he is a serious contender in this field.

Men’s Open Athletes to Watch

The Men’s Open division stands as the centerpiece of the 2025 Legion Sports Fest Pro. It attracts some of the sport’s most prominent names. Therefore, fans expect high-caliber competition and intense rivalries.

Next, this division draws particular attention because of the anticipated return of Blessing Awodibu. His comeback brings renewed excitement to the contest. Consequently, spectators are eager to see how he performs after time away.

Finally, the Men’s Open category promises fierce battles for Olympia qualification. With multiple athletes hungry for a win, the event should deliver thrilling moments. Ultimately, this makes the division a highlight of the weekend.

Blessing Awodibu

Blessing Awodibu returns to the stage after more than a year-long sabbatical. He last competed at the 2023 Flex Pro, where he placed fifth. Since then, fans have awaited his comeback eagerly.

Next, Awodibu’s last victory was the 2022 New York Pro. During his break, he focused heavily on building size, especially in his lower body. This strategic approach aims to improve his overall symmetry and strength.

Finally, Awodibu’s goal is clear: to qualify for the Olympia for the first time in three years. Given his talent and dedication, many believe he has a strong chance. His return could shake up the division significantly.

Next, Burton is making his 2025 competitive debut at this event. He qualified for the 2024 Olympia but had to withdraw due to health concerns. This setback delayed his momentum, but he remains determined.

Finally, Burton faces a clear challenge: he must win to requalify for the 2025 Olympia. This necessity adds pressure but also motivation. Consequently, his performance will be one of the most closely followed at the event.
