The 2025 Kaos English Strongman Championships took place on March 15 in Preston, UK. It featured two weight divisions: U64KG and U80KG. In both categories, athletes competed in five demanding events. These events tested their strength, endurance, and speed. As the competition unfolded, each athlete pushed their limits to secure a top spot.

In the U64KG division, Agne Zubaviciute claimed victory with an impressive 34.5 points out of 35. Consequently, her consistent performance across all events set her apart. Sarah Jones finished in second place with 27.5 points. Following closely behind, Michell Slusarek earned 22.5 points, securing third place. Ultimately, Zubaviciute’s strength was unmatched, and her win was undeniable.

Meanwhile, in the U80KG category, Jonah O’Brien triumphed with 46.5 points out of 50. His performance was marked by outstanding strength and technique. As a result, O’Brien easily outperformed his competition. Terry Edwards came in second place with 43 points. Moreover, Dan Thompson rounded out the top three with 41 points. Overall, O’Brien’s dominant performance left little room for others to challenge him.

Overall, the 2025 Kaos English Strongman Championships showcased extraordinary displays of power and endurance. O’Brien and Zubaviciute emerged as the standout performers of the day. Therefore, their victories reflected their unmatched strength across all five events.

2025 Kaos English U80KG Strongman Results

Final Standings:

  1. Jonah O’Brien — 46.5 points
  2. David Armstrong — 36 points
  3. Lawrence Gallagher — 36 points
  4. Andy Smiles — 33.5 points
  5. Adam Rumney — 33.5 points
  6. James Watts — 32.5 points
  7. Earl Suligowski — 21 points
  8. Joe Longshaw — 19 points
  9. Ash Lapidge — 9.5 points
  10. Daniel Rix — 7.5 points

Jonah O’Brien won with 46.5 points. He dominated multiple events, excelling in the Log Lift and Deadlift. David Armstrong and Lawrence Gallagher tied for second with 36 points. Armstrong’s performance in the Yoke & Sandbag Medley gave him the edge. Meanwhile, Andy Smiles and Adam Rumney ended with 33.5 points. They both showed solid strength, but it wasn’t enough to catch the top three. James Watts earned 32.5 points, finishing strong in some events but falling short overall. Earl Suligowski and Joe Longshaw had a tougher time and ended lower in the rankings. Ash Lapidge and Daniel Rix struggled with the heavier weights, finishing at the bottom.

O’Brien’s consistency was key. He performed well in nearly every event. Despite strong efforts from Armstrong, Gallagher, and Smiles, O’Brien remained in control. His overall performance secured his victory. Armstrong, Gallagher, and the rest had strong moments, but O’Brien’s lead was too much to overcome.

In the end, O’Brien’s strength and speed across events made him the winner. His consistent performance in events like the Farmer’s Walk and Sandbag Medley left little doubt. While others showed flashes of brilliance, O’Brien proved the most consistent athlete overall.

Event 1: Log Lift

  • (Max reps with 90 kg or 115 kg, one rep with the heavier log outranks reps with the lighter log)

    • Jonah O’Brien — 4 reps, 115 kg (T-1st)
    • Lawrence Gallagher — 4 reps, 115 kg (T-1st)
    • Andy Smiles — 3 reps, 115 kg
    • Joe Longshaw — 2 reps, 115 kg
    • Earl Suligowski — 1 rep, 115 kg
    • Adam Rumney — 6 reps, 90 kg
    • James Watts — 5 reps, 90 kg
    • David Armstrong — 4 reps, 90 kg
    • Ash Lapidge — 2 reps, 90 kg (T-9th)
    • Daniel Rix — 2 reps, 90 kg (T-9th)

In the Log Lift, Jonah O’Brien and Lawrence Gallagher tied for first. Both completed 4 reps with 115 kg. Andy Smilesfollowed with 3 reps at the same weight. James Watts and David Armstrong completed 4 reps at 90 kg. However, Joe Longshaw and Earl Suligowski struggled, each managing only 2 reps. Ash Lapidge and Daniel Rix finished at the bottom, struggling with the 90 kg log.

O’Brien’s and Gallagher’s technique stood out in this event. Their ability to lift 115 kg for 4 reps showed their power. Smiles also performed well, completing 3 reps at the same weight. This set the stage for the competition, as each athlete prepared for the next challenge.

Ultimately, O’Brien and Gallagher’s performance gave them the advantage early in the event. The Log Lift proved to be a strength test, and O’Brien’s consistency gave him a strong lead.

Event 2: Deadlift

  • (Max reps with 220 kg or 260 kg, one rep with the heavier weight outranks reps with the lighter weight)

    • Jonah O’Brien — 5 reps, 260 kg
    • Lawrence Gallagher — 3 reps, 260 kg (T-2nd)
    • Adam Rumney — 3 reps, 260 kg (T-2nd)
    • Andy Smiles — 1 rep, 260 kg (T-4th)
    • James Watts — 1 rep, 260 kg (T-4th)
    • David Armstrong — 3 reps, 220 kg
    • Joe Longshaw — 3 reps, 220 kg
    • Earl Suligowski — 3 reps, 220 kg
    • Daniel Rix — 3 reps, 220 kg
    • Ash Lapidge — 3 reps, 220 kg

In the Deadlift, Jonah O’Brien claimed first with 5 reps at 260 kg. His impressive strength was a clear highlight. Lawrence Gallagher and Adam Rumney finished second with 3 reps at 260 kg. Andy Smiles and James Wattsmanaged one rep at the heavier weight. David Armstrong completed 3 reps at 220 kg but couldn’t catch up with the leaders.

O’Brien’s performance here was a game-changer. His 260 kg Deadlift showed his raw power and endurance. Gallagher and Rumney also performed well but couldn’t match O’Brien’s strength. Smiles and Watts made solid attempts but fell behind.

This event was crucial for establishing O’Brien’s dominance. His performance in the Deadlift helped him solidify his position at the top.

Event 3: Farmer’s Walk

  • (Carry 100 or 125 kg for three 10-meter lengths, heavier weight outranks lighter)

    • Jonah O’Brien — 125 kg, 19.82 seconds
    • Andy Smiles — 125 kg, 22.45 seconds
    • David Armstrong — 125 kg, 23.06 seconds
    • Lawrence Gallagher — 125 kg, 23.25 seconds
    • James Watts — 125 kg, 24.02 seconds
    • Adam Rumney — 125 kg, 26.23 seconds
    • Earl Suligowski — 125 kg, 34.47 seconds
    • Ash Lapidge — 125 kg, 48.54 seconds
    • Daniel Rix — 100 kg, 20.37 seconds
    • Joe Longshaw — 100 kg, 24.53 seconds

In the Farmer’s Walk, Jonah O’Brien completed the 125 kg carry in 19.82 seconds, finishing first. Andy Smilesfollowed closely in 22.45 seconds. David Armstrong finished in 23.06 seconds, just ahead of Lawrence Gallagher at 23.25 seconds. James Watts and Adam Rumney struggled with the heavy weights but still posted decent times.

O’Brien’s time in the Farmer’s Walk showed his superior speed and strength. Smiles and Armstrong kept pace but couldn’t match O’Brien’s quickness. Gallagher also showed solid technique but didn’t catch up with the leaders.

This event reinforced O’Brien’s lead in the competition. His ability to move quickly while carrying heavy weights gave him a clear advantage.

Event 4: Yoke & Sandbag Medley

  • (280 kg yoke and 110 kg sandbag)

    • David Armstrong — 2 implements, 16.15 seconds
    • James Watts — 2 implements, 17.4 seconds
    • Jonah O’Brien — 2 implements, 18.04 seconds
    • Adam Rumney — 2 implements, 19.97 seconds
    • Andy Smiles — 2 implements, 20.04 seconds
    • Lawrence Gallagher — 2 implements, 23.49 seconds
    • Joe Longshaw — 2 implements, 25.97 seconds
    • Earl Suligowski — 2 implements, 33.35 seconds
    • Ash Lapidge — 2 implements, 42.38 seconds
    • Daniel Rix — 1 implement, 13.2 seconds

In the Yoke & Sandbag Medley, David Armstrong took first place with a time of 16.15 seconds. Jonah O’Brienfinished second in 18.04 seconds. James Watts completed the event in 17.4 seconds, while Adam Rumney took 4th with 19.97 seconds. Andy Smiles and Lawrence Gallagher followed closely behind, but neither could match Armstrong’s speed.

Armstrong’s fast performance gave him an edge in this event. O’Brien’s strong finish helped him stay in contention. Watts and Rumney showed good effort but weren’t fast enough to catch the top spots.

The Yoke & Sandbag Medley was pivotal for the standings. Armstrong’s speed kept him competitive, but O’Brien’s consistency in other events kept him at the top.

Event 5: Sandbag Medley

  • (4 sandbags weighing 90, 100, 110, and 120 kg)

    • David Armstrong — 4 sandbags, 27.07 seconds
    • Jonah O’Brien — 4 sandbags, 30.88 seconds
    • Adam Rumney — 3 sandbags, 21.55 seconds
    • James Watts — 3 sandbags, 23.72 seconds
    • Lawrence Gallagher — 3 sandbags, 27.6 seconds
    • Andy Smiles — 3 sandbags, 28.4 seconds
    • Earl Suligowski — 3 sandbags, 32.3 seconds
    • Joe Longshaw — 3 sandbags, 35.44 seconds
    • Ash Lapidge — 2 sandbags, 16.2 seconds
    • Daniel Rix — 2 sandbags, 18.1 seconds

In the final event, the Sandbag Medley, David Armstrong finished first in 27.07 seconds. Jonah O’Brien completed the medley in 30.88 seconds, securing second place. Adam Rumney and James Watts both finished with 3 sandbags but couldn’t catch Armstrong. Lawrence Gallagher completed 3 sandbags in 27.6 seconds, while Earl Suligowski and Joe Longshaw struggled, finishing further down.

Armstrong’s speed and efficiency earned him the win. O’Brien’s solid performance kept him in second place. Rumney and Watts gave strong efforts, but they couldn’t catch up.

In the end, Armstrong’s fast time sealed his win in the Sandbag Medley, but O’Brien’s all-around consistency ensured his overall victory.

2025 Kaos U64KG Strongwoman Results

Final Standings:

  1. Agne Zubaviciute — 34.5 points
  2. Sarah Jones — 27.5 points
  3. Michell Slusarek — 22.5 points
  4. Tori Packman — 21 points
  5. Nikita Allan — 13 points
  6. Daisy Weaver — 10.5 points
  7. Clare Sheridan — 9 points

Agne Zubaviciute took first with 34.5 points. Sarah Jones followed in second with 27.5 points. Michell Slusareksecured third with 22.5 points. Tori Packman placed fourth with 21 points. Nikita Allan finished with 13 points. Daisy Weaver earned 10.5 points, and Clare Sheridan rounded out the field with 9 points.

Zubaviciute’s consistent performance across events secured her victory. Jones and Slusarek gave strong efforts but couldn’t surpass the top performer.

Event 1: Log Lift

  • (Max reps with 47.5 kg or 65 kg, one rep with the heavier log outranks reps with the lighter log)

    • Agne Zubaviciute — 8 reps, 47.5 kg (T-1st)
    • Sarah Jones — 8 reps, 47.5 kg (T-1st)
    • Michell Slusarek — 7 reps, 47.5 kg (T-3rd)
    • Tori Packman — 7 reps, 47.5 kg (T-3rd)
    • Nikita Allan — 7 reps, 47.5 kg (T-3rd)
    • Daisy Weaver — 2 reps, 47.5 kg
    • Clare Sheridan — No lift

In the Log Lift, Agne Zubaviciute and Sarah Jones tied for first, each with 8 reps at 47.5 kg. Michell Slusarek, Tori Packman, and Nikita Allan each completed 7 reps, placing third. Daisy Weaver completed 2 reps, while Clare Sheridan couldn’t lift the log.

Zubaviciute and Jones showed great strength. Their efforts pushed them to the top, while the others fought for third.

Event 2: Deadlift

  • (Max reps with 120 or 150 kg, one rep with the heavier weight outranks reps with the lighter weight)
    • Agne Zubaviciute — 9 reps, 150 kg
    • Sarah Jones — 6 reps, 150 kg
    • Michell Slusarek — 4 reps, 150 kg (T-3rd)

Zubaviciute’s power was undeniable. Her 150 kg lifts helped her dominate the event. Meanwhile, the others tried to keep pace, but Zubaviciute’s strength was unmatched.

Event 3: Farmer’s Walk

  • (Carry 60 or 80 kg for three 10-meter lengths, heavier weight outranks lighter)

    • Agne Zubaviciute — 80 kg, 29.42 seconds
    • Tori Packman — 80 kg, 36.63 seconds
    • Sarah Jones — 80 kg, 40.31 seconds
    • Michell Slusarek — 80 kg, 25.13 meters
    • Clare Sheridan — 80 kg, 20 meters
    • Nikita Allan — 60 kg, 22.16 seconds
    • Daisy Weaver — No lift

In the Farmer’s Walk, Agne Zubaviciute led with 80 kg in 29.42 seconds. Tori Packman followed with 36.63 seconds, while Sarah Jones took third at 40.31 seconds. Michell Slusarek covered 25.13 meters. Clare Sheridan made it 20 meters, and Nikita Allan completed 60 kg in 22.16 seconds. Daisy Weaver failed to complete the event.

Zubaviciute’s speed made her the standout in this event. Packman and Jones were close behind but couldn’t catch her.

Event 4: Yoke & Sandbag Medley

  • (170 kg yoke and 70 kg sandbag)

    • Agne Zubaviciute — 2 implements, 19.13 seconds
    • Michell Slusarek — 2 implements, 21.71 seconds
    • Sarah Jones — 2 implements, 23.1 seconds
    • Nikita Allan — 2 implements, 33.2 seconds

    • Clare Sheridan — 1 implement, 14.39 seconds
    • Daisy Weaver — 1 implement, 33.66 seconds

In the Yoke & Sandbag Medley, Agne Zubaviciute finished first with 2 implements in 19.13 seconds. Michell Slusarekplaced second, completing 2 implements in 21.71 seconds. Sarah Jones followed with 2 implements in 23.1 seconds. Nikita Allan took 4th with 2 implements in 33.2 seconds. Tori Packman and Clare Sheridan completed only 1 implement each. Daisy Weaver also carried 1 implement in 33.66 seconds.

Zubaviciute’s quick time set her apart. Slusarek and Jones also performed well but couldn’t match her pace.

Event 5: Sandbag Medley

  • (4 sandbags weighing 40, 50, 60, and 70 kg)

In the Sandbag Medley, Agne Zubaviciute completed all 4 sandbags in 34.16 seconds. Tori Packman finished in 38.96 seconds, while Sarah Jones completed the medley in 40.96 seconds. Michell Slusarek carried 3 sandbags in 16.02 seconds. Daisy Weaver and Nikita Allan completed 3 sandbags as well but were slower. Clare Sheridan managed 2 sandbags in 13.1 seconds.

Zubaviciute’s impressive performance in this event further solidified her lead. Packman and Jones followed closely, but Zubaviciute’s speed was too much.
