The 2025 Europe’s Strongest Man (ESM) competition took place in Leeds, England, on April 5, 2025. Twelve athletes from eight countries participated, including the defending champion, Luke Stoltman. They competed in five demanding events: Overhead Medley, Shield Carry, Carry & Drag, Deadlift, and Atlas Stones. Given the caliber of competitors, the event was expected to be a fierce showdown.
Luke Richardson of Great Britain ultimately claimed the victory, scoring 51 out of a possible 60 points. His consistency across all events played a crucial role in his win. Moreover, his exceptional performances in the Atlas Stones and Deadlift gave him a decisive edge. As a result, Richardson stood tall on the podium, securing his place as Europe’s strongest man.
In second place was Paddy Haynes, who had a strong showing throughout the day. His standout moments came in the Carry & Drag event, where he showcased impressive endurance. However, despite his efforts, he couldn’t match Richardson’s consistency across the board. Still, Haynes’s performance in Leeds reaffirmed his status as one of the top athletes in the sport.
Lastly, Mateusz Kieliszkowski finished third, claiming the bronze. While he had some solid lifts, his performances in the Shield Carry and Overhead Medley weren’t enough to surpass the top two. Nonetheless, Kieliszkowski’s strong finishes in key events earned him a place on the podium. The event proved to be an exciting contest, with Richardson emerging as the undisputed victor.
