2025 DC Pro Bodybuilding Show Results

The 2025 DC Pro took place on Saturday, June 7, in Manassas, Virginia. At the forefront, promoter Gary Udit organized two Olympia-qualifying contests. This time, only the Men’s Physique and Bikini divisions were featured. As a result, the winners earned direct qualification to the 2025 Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas.

Looking ahead, the Olympia is set for October 9–12. For many, it remains the pinnacle of competitive bodybuilding. To qualify, athletes must either win a sanctioned show or earn enough points across the season. In this case, the DC Pro offered two golden tickets.

In Men’s Physique, Diogo Basaglia emerged as the winner. With confidence, he delivered a standout performance that impressed the judges. Until now, he had not secured a spot at the Olympia. With this win, he officially joins the lineup.

Meanwhile, Tara Grier took the top prize in the Bikini division. Through consistency, she outperformed the field with a polished, well-balanced look. Prior to this, she had not yet qualified for the Olympia. Now, her ticket to Las Vegas is booked.

Men’s Physique

Winner — 🇧🇷 Diogo Basaglia

Diogo Basaglia delivered a breakthrough performance in Washington, D.C. He earned his first pro win with a perfect score on the judges’ scorecards. As a result, the Brazilian standout secured his qualification for the 2025 Mr. Olympia.

Moreover, Basaglia’s victory marked a major step forward in his third pro season. His symmetry, conditioning, and stage presence stood out from a competitive field. Now, he’ll prepare to face the division’s best on bodybuilding’s biggest stage.

Finally, this win places Basaglia on the map as a legitimate contender. He joins a growing list of international athletes rising in Men’s Physique. With momentum on his side, his next few outings will draw serious attention.

Second Place — 🇺🇸 John Sarmiento

John Sarmiento came close but fell just short of gold. He improved on past performances and brought a crisp, lean package. This runner-up finish keeps him in the hunt for an Olympia qualification.

In addition, Sarmiento showcased a mature and complete physique. His upper-body detail and posing routine helped separate him from the middle of the pack. Still, he’ll need a win to advance to the Olympia.

Looking ahead, Sarmiento remains one of the top U.S. talents in the division. His continued presence on stage signals that a major win could be just around the corner.

Third Place — 🇧🇷 Hygor Ponchet

Hygor Ponchet rounded out the top three with another consistent showing. The Brazilian athlete brought classic lines and confident presentation. While it wasn’t enough for a win, he remained a standout.

Notably, Ponchet continues to maintain a steady presence across pro contests. His frame is well-balanced, and his muscularity fits the criteria of the division. He’ll be a threat in future lineups if he sharpens his conditioning.

For now, Ponchet leaves the DC Pro with momentum. With more refinement, he could soon break into the winner’s circle.

Bikini

Winner — 🇺🇸 Tara Grier

Tara Grier returned to D.C. with her sights set on back-to-back victories. She accomplished just that with a narrow one-point win over the runner-up. With this result, she earns her third consecutive Olympia qualification.

Clearly, Grier brought poise, balance, and razor-sharp conditioning. Her experience showed in her ability to outshine a deep field. Even under pressure, she executed a confident and clean performance.

Now, Grier moves forward with renewed momentum. As a proven contender, she’ll be one to watch at the Olympia in Las Vegas this October.

Second Place — 🇺🇸 Chyna Melton

Chyna Melton came within inches of winning. She impressed the panel with her tight conditioning and polished look. Though she finished second, her score reflected how close the contest was.

Furthermore, Melton continues to build on a strong competitive resume. Her improvements from past shows were clearly visible on stage. This showing raises her profile in a stacked division.

As the season progresses, Melton remains a top-tier threat. A win may not be far off if she maintains this level of precision.

Third Place — 🇮🇹 Alessia Facchin

Italy’s Alessia Facchin secured third place with a poised and stylish presentation. Her look was complete—graceful, symmetrical, and well-defined. Once again, she proved she can compete with the best in the world.

Additionally, Facchin’s international success adds depth to the Bikini landscape. Her consistent top placings highlight her reliability as a finalist. With continued refinement, she may challenge for wins soon.
