The 2025 CrossFit Games Event 4 Results saw Lucy Campbell deliver a laser-focused and determined performance in “IE4: Albany Grip Trip.” She not only won the event but also seized the women’s overall lead on Saturday morning. Before the event, Toomey-Orr held a slim six-point advantage over both Campbell and Lydia Fish, setting the stage for a tight battle. The course demanded five rounds of a 400-meter run, 12 deadlifts (220 pounds for women), and handstand walks, increasing to 150 feet on the final round.
At the start, Toomey-Orr surged ahead, maintaining the lead through two rounds. However, Campbell’s superior running speed closed the gap, matching Toomey-Orr through the third round with nearly synchronized handstand walks. Then, Campbell made a decisive move in the fourth round, extending her lead with unbroken handstand walks, while Toomey-Orr struggled with segmented attempts.
By the final stretch, Campbell cruised to victory, finishing nearly 20 seconds ahead of Toomey-Orr. A no-rep on Toomey-Orr’s second 50-foot handstand walk allowed Haley Adams to finish strong and pushed Campbell past Toomey-Orr on the leaderboard. On the men’s side, Jay Crouch maintained his momentum, fending off pressure from Brazil’s Kaylan Souza by just four seconds to claim first place.

Last year’s champion, James Sprague, improved his standing with a solid third-place finish, while event leader Jayson Hopper stayed consistent with fourth place. Notably, Crouch remains the only athlete, man or woman, to place in the top five of all four events so far. He credited his success to the support of his team PRVN, emphasizing how proper preparation has been key to his consistency.
Looking ahead, Campbell’s surge places her firmly in contention for the title, threatening Toomey-Orr’s decade-long dominance. The next event, a one-rep max back squat, favors Toomey-Orr’s strengths, but Campbell’s challenge is unmistakable. Meanwhile, Crouch expressed confidence in the upcoming events, noting that the programming suits his abilities perfectly.
“I have the best team in the world around me, and that’s PRVN. I’m super grateful to have those guys around me…To prepare the right way, [like] winners do, and this is the result,” Crouch said.
“I don’t want to toot my own horn, but back squats are very good for me. It’s the best case scenario. I feel like Dave [Castro] has maybe been on my Instagram looking at all my strengths because these workouts are stacking up pretty good,” he added.
