The 2025 Atlas Strongman Classic unfolded in Ghent, Belgium, on Jan. 26, 2025. Furthermore, thirteen athletes from five countries competed in five demanding events. Moreover, these included the Block Press Medley, Dinnie Stone Medley, Bag Toss Medley, DOTS Squat, and Sandbag Loading Race. However, each event tested more than just raw strength; they also required strategy and endurance.

Additionally, Laurens LaPiere triumphed on home turf, amassing 59 points out of a possible 65. Also, his consistent performances across each event kept him at the top. As a result, LaPiere secured the overall victory. Every lift mattered, and he rose to the occasion, proving his dominance on the day.

Meanwhile, Siebe Janssen finished with 58 points, just one behind LaPiere. Moreover, he stayed close throughout the competition, remaining in striking distance until the final event. Ultimately, despite his valiant efforts, Janssen had to settle for second place, falling just short of the lead.

2025 Atlas Strongman Classic Results – Final Standings

  1. Laurens LaPiere (BEL) – 59 points
  2. Siebe Janssen (NED) – 58 points
  3. Viatcheslav Koda (BEL) – 47 points
  4. Maël Jacquemet (FRA) – 41 points
  5. Bartosz Szczepankiewicz (POL) – 40 points
  6. Edgardo Landaverde (BEL) – 36 points
  7. Per Berns (NED) – 36 points
  8. Joni Alles (BEL) – 30 points
  9. Danilo Podkrajac (NED) – 28 points
  10. Louka Konings (BEL) – 26 points
  11. Niels Vunderink (NED) – 24 points
  12. Sascha Nijs (BEL) – 17 points
  13. Jeremie Godret (BEL) – 12 points

Laurens LaPiere claimed victory with 59 points. He secured his lead with consistent performances across all five events. Moreover, Siebe Janssen followed closely with 58 points, keeping the competition intense until the final event.

In addition, Viatcheslav Koda rounded out the podium with 47 points. Also, his strength and endurance kept him ahead of the middle pack. Meanwhile, Maël Jacquemet and Bartosz Szczepankiewicz finished fourth and fifth, separated by just one point. Lastly, every event mattered as the standings shifted throughout the day.

Further down the rankings, Edgardo Landaverde and Per Berns tied with 36 points. Joni Alles secured eighth place with 30 points, while Danilo Podkrajac landed in ninth with 28. The final spots were tightly contested, with Louka Konings, Niels Vunderink, and Sascha Nijs battling for position. Jeremie Godret finished last, struggling to keep up with the pack.

Block Press Medley

(110, 120, 100, and 100-kg blocks lifted overhead in 75 seconds)

  • Siebe Janssen – Four in 36.83 seconds
  • Viatcheslav Koda – Four in 45.82 seconds
  • Laurens LaPiere – Four in 46.59 seconds
  • Bartosz Szczepankiewicz – Three in 24.2 seconds
  • Jeremie Godret – Three in 31.89 seconds
  • Per Berns – Three in 33.75 seconds
  • Maël Jacquemet – Three in 37.39 seconds
  • Danilo Podkrajac – Three in 38.17 seconds
  • Edgardo Landaverde – Three in 75 seconds
  • Joni Alles – One in 4.21 seconds
  • Niels Vunderink – One in 5.33 seconds
  • Sascha Nijs – One in 5.38 seconds
  • Louka Konings – One in 13.11 seconds

Siebe Janssen dominated the first event, pressing all four blocks overhead in just 36.83 seconds. His speed and power set the pace for the competition. Viatcheslav Koda followed, completing the medley in 45.82 seconds.

Laurens LaPiere stayed in contention with a time of 46.59 seconds. Meanwhile, Bartosz Szczepankiewicz managed three blocks in 24.2 seconds, securing fourth place. Several competitors cleared three blocks, but only fractions of a second separated them.

At the lower end, Joni Alles, Niels Vunderink, and Sascha Nijs lifted only one block. Louka Konings rounded out the group with a 13.11-second lift. The early struggles signaled a long day ahead for the lower-ranked athletes.

Dinnie Stone Medley

(225-kg and 221-kg Dinnie Stones carried for 20m + 19m within 75 seconds)

  • Laurens LaPiere – 34.82 seconds
  • Siebe Janssen – 49.87 seconds
  • Viatcheslav Koda – 52.54 seconds
  • Niels Vunderink – 54.67 seconds
  • Maël Jacquemet – 73.56 seconds
  • Danilo Podkrajac – 75 seconds
  • Louka Konings – 38.21 meters
  • Edgardo Landaverde – 33.86 meters
  • Per Berns – 32.29 meters
  • Joni Alles – 31.5 meters
  • Bartosz Szczepankiewicz – 29.28 meters
  • Sascha Nijs – 27.65 meters
  • Jeremie Godret – 24.95 meters

Laurens LaPiere set the bar high, completing the 20-meter course in 34.82 seconds. He made light work of the 225-kg and 221-kg stones. Siebe Janssen followed, grinding through in 49.87 seconds.

Viatcheslav Koda kept pace with 52.54 seconds. Niels Vunderink surprised many, finishing fourth in 54.67 seconds. Further down, Maël Jacquemet needed the full 75 seconds to complete the challenge.

Some competitors struggled. Louka Konings covered 38.21 meters, unable to finish. Others, like Bartosz Szczepankiewicz and Sascha Nijs, fell short of the full distance. Jeremie Godret placed last with 24.95 meters.

Bag Toss Medley

(Six bags: 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 kg thrown over 4.2m bar within 60 seconds)

  • Siebe Janssen – Six in 37.93 seconds
  • Laurens LaPiere – Five in 14.7 seconds
  • Bartosz Szczepankiewicz – Four in 12.58 seconds
  • Edgardo Landaverde – Four in 21.17 seconds
  • Per Berns – Three in 10.07 seconds
  • Joni Alles – Three in 18.35 seconds
  • Louka Konings – Three in 24.9 seconds
  • Viatcheslav Koda – Two in 8.97 seconds
  • Danilo Podkrajac – Two in 22.08 seconds
  • Niels Vunderink – Two in 22.69 seconds
  • Sascha Nijs – Two in 27.12 seconds
  • Maël Jacquemet – Two in 32.56 seconds
  • Jeremie Godret – No lift

Siebe Janssen dominated the bag toss, clearing all six bags in 37.93 seconds. His precision and speed put him ahead. Laurens LaPiere followed, but he managed only five bags in 14.7 seconds.

Bartosz Szczepankiewicz landed four bags in 12.58 seconds, just edging out Edgardo Landaverde. Several athletes struggled with the heavier bags. Per Berns and Joni Alles completed three, with slight time differences.

At the bottom, Viatcheslav Koda and Danilo Podkrajac managed only two bags. Jeremie Godret failed to register a successful toss. The event reshuffled the standings as Janssen regained ground on LaPiere.

DOTS Squat

(Best squat adjusted for body weight using DOTS system)

  • Maël Jacquemet – 166.53 points
  • Bartosz Szczepankiewicz – 160.95 points
  • Laurens LaPiere – 154.39 points
  • Edgardo Landaverde – 151.67 points
  • Viatcheslav Koda – 151.01 points
  • Per Berns – 144.18 points
  • Siebe Janssen – 142.33 points
  • Danilo Podkrajac – 141.98 points
  • Niels Vunderink – 136.31 points
  • Louka Konings – 125.48 points
  • Joni Alles – 123.27 points
  • Sascha Nijs – 99.67 points
  • Jeremie Godret – 36.68 points

Maël Jacquemet excelled in the squat event, scoring 166.53 DOTS points. His technique and efficiency gave him a clear edge. Bartosz Szczepankiewicz followed with 160.95 points, keeping the race tight.

Laurens LaPiere maintained consistency with 154.39 points. Meanwhile, Edgardo Landaverde and Viatcheslav Koda pushed close behind. Per Berns and Siebe Janssen hovered in the 140-point range.

Lower in the rankings, Danilo Podkrajac and Niels Vunderink struggled to stay competitive. Louka Konings and Joni Alles barely passed 120 points. At the bottom, Jeremie Godret finished with only 36.68 points.

Sandbag Loading Race

(Five sandbags: 90kg for 1.8m, 100kg for 1.6m, 120kg for 1.4m, 140kg for 1.2m, 150kg for 1m in 90 seconds)

  • Siebe Janssen – Five in 40.57 seconds
  • Laurens LaPiere – Five in 44.89 seconds
  • Joni Alles – Five in 48.64 seconds
  • Maël Jacquemet – Five in 58.19 seconds
  • Viatcheslav Koda – Five in 62.96 seconds
  • Sascha Nijs – Four in 32.72 seconds
  • Louka Konings – Four in 42.92 seconds
  • Per Berns – Four in 84.52 seconds
  • Edgardo Landaverde – Three in 40.19 seconds
  • Bartosz Szczepankiewicz – Three in 52.5 seconds
  • Danilo Podkrajac – Three in 66.81 seconds
  • Niels Vunderink – Three in 81.47 seconds
  • Jeremie Godret – Two in 37.29 seconds

Siebe Janssen secured another win, loading all five sandbags in 40.57 seconds. Laurens LaPiere followed, finishing in 44.89 seconds. Joni Alles made a statement with a strong third-place finish.

Maël Jacquemet and Viatcheslav Koda pushed through, both completing the event. Sascha Nijs managed four bags but ran out of time. Louka Konings and Per Berns also lifted four, but their times were much slower.

Further down, Bartosz Szczepankiewicz and Danilo Podkrajac completed three bags each. Niels Vunderink struggled with the heavier weights, finishing near the bottom. Jeremie Godret placed last again, lifting only two.
