Meanwhile, Alexander Klokov kept the pressure on. At each turn, he challenged Akimov with consistent finishes. Still, his 38 points left him 1.5 shy of the top spot and firmly in second place.
Finally, Dmitry Logunov rounded out the podium. Although he trailed the leader by four points, he outpaced the rest of the pack. In the end, his strong showing sealed the bronze medal in a tightly contested lineup.
