In the second-to-last event of 2024 Rogue Strongwoman Invitational, the Yoke Escalator, Inez Carrasquillo maintained her lead. Furthermore, she held a slim three-point advantage over Olga Liashchuk, who was determined to close the gap. Moreover, with this edge, Carrasquillo aimed to secure the win and capture the sport’s largest prize purse.
In addition, for the competitors, the Yoke Escalator presented a challenging course. First, they had to complete a 40-foot yoke walk. Then, they moved onto three demanding power stairs. The event’s two-and-a-half-minute time cap added even more pressure. Furthermore, to keep things organized, officials divided the athletes into two heats.
In the first heat, Sam Belliveau and Melissa Peacock rose to the top. Furthermore, Belliveau finished just five-hundredths of a second faster than Peacock, edging her out for first place. Moreover, this narrow margin gave Belliveau her first event win of the Invitational.
