After two events on day one of the 2024 Rogue Strongwoman Invitational in Aberdeen, Scotland, Inez Carrasquillo stood out. She claimed a victory in the Grip and Rip event. This performance solidified her as a breakout star. However, Andrea Thompson, the two-time World’s Strongest Woman, maintained the overall lead. She secured two runner-up finishes, including a personal best in the deadlift. With this, Thompson headed into the Inver Challenge with a strong position.
To conclude the first day of competition, athletes were tasked with lifting five stones, ranging from 200 to 300 pounds, without the use of tacky. Carrasquillo, appearing in the best shape of her career, dominated the challenge. She finished with the fastest time, beating runner-up Angelica Jardine by 17 seconds.

2024 Rogue Strongwoman Invitational Inver Challenge Recap
Belliveau was the first lifter and cleared the first three stones easily. However, she struggled with the 275-pound fourth stone and couldn’t complete it before the time cap. Next, Moore followed and cleared the first three, but she struggled with the fourth. After a successful third attempt, she missed the fifth stone and waved off.
Then, Roberts, with a height advantage, cleared the early stones but celebrated too early after completing the fifth, costing valuable seconds. Linzay had no issues with the first two stones but struggled with the fourth and failed to load the fifth. Meanwhile, Peacock cleared the first three easily but couldn’t grip the fourth stone.
In the sixth heat, Jardine powered through the first four stones and completed the fifth after several attempts. Afterward, Underdown, following mixed results in earlier events, struggled with grip on the final two stones and couldn’t complete the fifth. Liashchuk, despite being slower with the early stones, cleared all five, staying near the top of the leaderboard.

Finally, Carrasquillo made quick work of the first four stones and set a new event record with a 34-second finish, claiming the lead. Thompson, knowing the time to beat, cleared the first three slowly but struggled with the fourth and couldn’t finish the fifth.
