The 2024 Rogue Invitational in Aberdeen, Scotland, marked a historic moment as it introduced strongwoman competition for the first time. To kick things off, the Deadlift Ladder event brought 10 athletes together, each aiming to establish a maximum deadlift. Notably, from the start, this event set a high bar for the competitors, pushing their strength and resilience to the forefront.

Linzay opened with an effortless 505-pound lift, energizing the crowd. Following her, Belliveau matched the lift, maintaining the early momentum. Donna Moore, a three-time World’s Strongest Woman at 44, then took her turn, pulling 525 pounds with a mixed grip and no belt, setting a strong standard. Meanwhile, Peacock confidently matched Moore’s 525-pound opener. Belliveau missed her next attempt at 525 pounds, but Linzay locked it out and amped up the crowd with a roar, pushing herself to a clean third lift at 545 pounds.
Jardine made her 545-pound opener look easy, seamlessly moving up the leaderboard. Moore, however, struggled on her second attempt and ultimately couldn’t complete her third lift. Peacock, with solid form, locked out at 545 pounds, while Linzay achieved a perfect record, closing at the same weight. Shortly after, Liashchuk, Roberts, and Carrasquillo powered through their openers at 565 pounds. Jardine, meanwhile, earned a career-high with her second attempt, surpassing her top lift from the Arnold Strongwoman Classic by five pounds. Moreover, Peacock, steady and consistent, also closed her lifts at 565 pounds.
When Thompson took the platform, she drew a “wow” from the commentators with her 585-pound opener. Furthermore, Roberts tried the same weight but couldn’t get it past her knees, while Carrasquillo surged through 585 pounds, showing her training paid off. Moreover, Jardine set a new personal best with a third lift of 585 pounds, though Roberts fell short and finished at 565. However, Liashchuk became the first to break 600 pounds with a smooth 605-pound lift. Underdown soon after delivered a dominant performance, lifting 625 pounds effortlessly. Lastly, Thompson responded with 665 pounds, but Underdown sealed the event win with an impressive 685-pound pull, showcasing unmatched strength.
