The 2024 Rogue Strongman Invitational concluded with the Circus Medley, a challenging final event that tested both strength and endurance. Athletes had to complete overhead presses with a 210-pound kettlebell, a 253-pound Cyrbell, and two axle barbells weighing 375 and 405 pounds. As a result, the event demanded not only raw power but also stamina to maintain performance under pressure.
In addition, Mitchell Hooper entered the event with a commanding lead. After the first heat, where neither Tristain Hoath nor Pavlo Kordiyaka scored any points, Hooper’s position was nearly unassailable. Consequently, it was clear that his title was virtually secure, setting the stage for his eventual victory.
However, the final heat introduced an unexpected twist. Luke Stoltman, eager to make his mark, completed the medley faster than Hooper. This secured Stoltman’s first Rogue Invitational event win. Nonetheless, Hooper’s consistent performance throughout the competition ensured that he maintained his overall lead, claiming the coveted title despite Stoltman’s win.

2024 Rogue Strongman Invitational Circus Medley Recap
Kordiyaka and Hoath ran the opening heat but struggled with the kettlebell. Both hoisted it overhead multiple times, yet failed to lock it out for the required down signal. It was clear that technique was the issue. They eventually conceded, knowing they wouldn’t score a rep.
In heat two, Thompson and Luke Stoltman faced off. While both were hesitant with the kettlebell, they succeeded in the end. Thompson dealt with elbow issues on the dumbbell press. Meanwhile, Stoltman powered through to the axle presses. The crowd erupted as Stoltman became the first strongman to finish the course.
Evans and Ragg ran heat three. Evans, having the best contest of his life, cleared both the kettlebell and dumbbell with ease. However, he slipped on the first axle, dropping the bar. He locked out the second axle but didn’t attempt the final one. Ragg, struggling with the dumbbell, conceded before even reaching the axles.
In the penultimate heat, Tom Stoltman and Singleton competed. Stoltman needed to overcome a two-point deficit to Björnsson for second place. Singleton sped through the kettlebell, while Stoltman stumbled with the dumbbell. They were neck and neck heading to the axles. Stoltman cleared the first axle first but missed two attempts on the final one. Singleton also failed in his final attempt, and Stoltman waved it off.

Hooper and Björnsson closed the competition in the final heat. Furthermore, Hooper had already secured the overall win, but Björnsson needed a fast time to secure second place. Moreover, Hooper cleared the kettlebell cleanly but struggled with the dumbbell. However, Björnsson had issues with the kettlebell but eventually moved on. Once they reached the axles, Hooper powered through and locked out the first one. Lastly, both men lifted the final axle, but Hooper completed it first, sealing his title defense.
