Day two of the 2024 Rogue Strongman Invitational began with Mitchell Hooper at the top of the leaderboard. He was four points ahead of Hafthor Björnsson, the 2018 World’s Strongest Man champion. Meanwhile, Tom Stoltman, the three-time reigning WSM, trailed by seven points.
The first event of the day, the Power Drive, proved demanding. Furthermore, athletes were tasked with completing a 750-pound power drive, followed by a 375-pound, 40-foot Husafell bag carry, and finishing with a 650-pound sled pull—all within a strict 90-second time cap.
In addition, Tom Stoltman, however, put on a spectacular performance. Moreover, he crossed the finish line nearly five seconds ahead of Björnsson, securing his first event win of the weekend.

2024 Rogue Strongman Invitational Power Drive Recap
Hoath and Kordiyaka took to the floor first in heat one. Moreover, Kordiyaka, the Ukrainian, quickly pulled ahead of Hoath through the first two implements. However, Hoath made up some ground on the sled pull. Despite his effort, Kordiyaka finished within the time cap, while Hoath couldn’t quite beat the clock.
In heat two, Thompson and Luke Stoltman ran together. The two athletes synced their power drive initially, but Stoltman pulled ahead during the Husafell carry. Stoltman maintained his pace but couldn’t finish within the time cap. Thompson was close behind, but like Stoltman, he failed to finish before the buzzer sounded.
In addition, Ragg and Evans were up next in heat three. Furthermore, Evans had appeared to sustain a slight injury at the end of day one, but he was recovered enough to compete. Unfortunately, that injury resurfaced as Evans struggled to lift the Husafell and ultimately tapped out. Ragg, despite his effort, couldn’t finish the sled pull in time before the clock ran out.
Ultimately, Tom Stoltman and Singleton ran the penultimate heat. Stoltman used his size to his advantage, reaching the sled by the 30-second mark. Singleton, trailing behind, pushed through but was far from finishing. Stoltman’s time of 1:04.81 became the new mark to beat.

Finally, Hooper and Björnsson ran the last heat, knowing the time to beat. The event’s cardio demands favored Hooper, who used his speed to reach the sled first. However, Björnsson’s strength overtook Hooper, allowing him to finish second in the event. Hooper slowed during the final stretch, ultimately settling for bronze behind Stoltman.
