The 2024 Men’s Physique Olympia Preview is rounding out to be one of the most exciting events of the weekend. The contest will take place on Saturday, October 12, where prejudging in the morning will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center and later that night the finals will be at Resorts World.
Ryan Terry won the 2023 Men’s Physique Olympia by a slender margin over former champion Erin Banks. With incredible conditioning, Terry was able to take the top spot amidst fierce competitors like Banks, Brandon Hendrickson, and Jeremy Buendia.

Top Athletes to Watch – Men’s Physique Olympia Preview
- Ryan Terry (Reigning Champion)
- Erin Banks
- Emanuel Hunter
- Corey Morris
Ryan Terry
Having taken the biggest win of his career in 2023, Terry will look to keep the Men’s Physique Olympia title in Europe. After nine attempts and over 21 years of training, he proved to be the best athlete on stage last year. Working out seven days a week inside his $5 million gym, Terry looks to bring an even drier and more detailed physique next weekend.
His last competition was the Men’s Physique Olympia in 2023, which he won. He took this off-season and contest preparation to further define his triceps while working on his back, arms, and chest with upper-body weighted circuit exercises.
Terry’s hands-on-hip superman pose was, by far, the most powerful of any competitor in the lineup and let the judges know he had no weaknesses. He plans to do the same job he did in 2023 by showing slight improvements since his last package was so far and away the best of his career.

Erin Banks
Erin Banks has been on a quest since the 2023 bodybuilding season. Despite being the current Men’s Physique Olympia in 2022, Erin Banks ceded the throne to Ryan Terry last year as he came third place. Banks says his conditioning was what prevented him from achieving results. The last time he tasted gold was at the 2024 Dubai Pro.
This is a problem for most contenders with his height and back width, especially when the competitors are called on to stand in a back relaxed pose. With enough conditioning, Banks could become a two-time champion when Bob Cicherillo reads the scorecard.

Emanuel Hunter
Emanuel Hunter enters the 2024 Men’s Physique Olympia with some pretty good momentum, having taken the fourth spot at the 2023 show. His experience lined up with the top guys who always contend, Brandon Hendrickson, Ryan Terry, and Erin Banks, should help him in standing next to them.
Hunter last competed at the 2024 Arnold Classic, where he was more improved, but he finished in sixth place. This year, he really comes in with a well-rounded build to present a real threat. His back detail was on another level, and his ab definition is superior, so this competitor is not to be taken lightly.

Corey Morris
Corey Morris is the other challenger that looks to bring home gold from the 2024 Men’s Physique Olympia. His wide shoulders and V-taper separate him from the pack in the division. Having placed as high as sixth at the 2023 contest, he has already proved he can hold his own among the most elite. Morris proved his worth at the 2024 Arnold Classic UK, where he displayed his all-time best look.
As he is lined up against the best of the best in the Men’s Physique division, fans will be present to witness if this is indeed the year Morris secures himself with the ultimate title. Coming off his great showing in the UK, it would be shortsighted not to count him.

Underdogs
- Vitor Chaves
Vitor Chaves
Vitor Chaves is the only dark horse of this year’s Men’s Physique Olympia. His outstanding improvements, tight middle, and powerful stage presence brought him a chance to take places from many top positions. In 2023, Vitor Chaves took ninth place at the Men’s Physique Olympia.
Some of the things he is known for include his casual pose, which oozes strength. Recently at the 2024 Miami Muscle Beach Pro, Chaves barely had any form of competitor as it became evident that he would take the trophy home. This time, he looks to win over the crowd with clean poses and a back capable of standing up to the best in his division.
