The 2024 Giants Live World Tour Finals took place in Glasgow, Scotland, on October 19. Furthermore, a significant roster change occurred just a week before the event when three-time reigning World’s Strongest Man Tom Stoltman withdrew. However, despite this setback, the competition featured 12 elite strongmen from six countries. Moreover, they battled through five demanding events, including the Dumbbell Ladder, Farmer’s Walk & Super Yoke Medley, Axle Deadlift, Hercules Hold, and Atlas Stones.

In addition, Mitchell Hooper, the 2024 Strongest Man on Earth champion from Canada, stood atop the podium. Also, he scored 48 points out of a possible 60. Trey Mitchell earned the silver medal with 44.5 points. Meanwhile, Luke Richardson secured the bronze, also scoring 44.5 points. However, Mitchell’s faster performance in the Atlas Stones allowed him to win the tiebreaker.

2024 Giants Live World Tour Finals Event Results

The Giants Live World Tour Finals featured five challenging events, pushing athletes to their limits. However, each competition tested different aspects of strength, including speed and endurance. First, the Dumbbell Ladder kicked off the day, with competitors racing to lift five progressively heavier dumbbells. Furthermore, Mitchell Hooper set the pace by finishing in a blistering 43.84 seconds. Roman Grekov followed closely, lifting all five in 45.54 seconds.

Next, the Farmer’s Walk and Super Yoke Medley presented a new challenge. Moreover, athletes had to carry a 150-kilogram farmer’s walk and a 450-kilogram yoke over a 40-meter course. Furthermore, Mitchell Hooper excelled again, completing the task in just 22.69 seconds. Also, Evans Nana Aryee finished second in 27.46 seconds, showcasing his impressive speed. Lastly, these events demonstrated the athletes’ diverse skill sets while highlighting their overall strength.

Dumbbell Ladder

The Dumbbell Ladder proved to be a thrilling event. Athletes faced five dumbbells weighing between 80 and 120 kilograms. Furthermore, Speed played a crucial role, as competitors raced against the clock. Mitchell Hooper led the pack, finishing in a remarkable 43.84 seconds. Also, his powerful lifts earned him crucial points in the competition.

Meanwhile, Roman Grekov followed closely, completing the challenge in 45.54 seconds. Furthermore, Trey Mitchell also made a strong showing, finishing in 51.14 seconds. However, other competitors struggled with the heavier weights, leading to varying results. However, Luke Stoltman and Luke Richardson lifted all five dumbbells but finished in the 51-second range. Overall, this event set the tone for the intense competition that followed.

Farmer’s Walk & Super Yoke Medley

The Farmer’s Walk and Super Yoke Medley presented a unique challenge to the athletes. Furthermore, this medley required strength, speed, and stamina. However, competitors had to carry a 150-kilogram farmer’s walk before transitioning to a 450-kilogram yoke. Ultimately, Mitchell Hooper again displayed his dominance, completing the course in just 22.69 seconds.

In addition, Evans Nana Aryee finished in 27.46 seconds, demonstrating his strength under pressure. Also, Luke Stoltman and Luke Richardson followed closely, with times in the 28-second range. Other athletes faced difficulties, leading to varied performances. Overall, this event tested the competitors’ endurance while showcasing their determination to succeed.

Axle Deadlift

The Axle Deadlift challenged competitors to lift a massive 360 kilograms. Furthermore, athletes had one minute to complete as many repetitions as possible. Moreover, Mitchell Hooper impressed everyone by pulling six reps, showcasing his incredible strength. Lastly, Trey Mitchell and Luke Richardson followed closely, each managing five reps.

Moreover, this event highlighted the sheer power of these strongmen. Notably, Wesley Derwinsky and Evans Nana Aryee also performed admirably, completing five reps. However, several competitors struggled with the heavy weight. Moreover, Chris Beetham managed only one rep before the time expired. Overall, the Axle Deadlift demonstrated the raw strength and tenacity of the athletes.

Hercules Hold

In the Hercules Hold, athletes tested their grip strength and endurance. Moreover, competitors had to hold weights for as long as possible, aiming for maximum time. Furthermore, Mitchell Hooper continued his impressive performance, lasting 72.48 seconds. Lastly, Trey Mitchell followed closely, holding on for 69.79 seconds.

Furthermore, the event required intense focus and mental fortitude. Luke Richardson finished third, managing 65.34 seconds. Other athletes, including Wesley Derwinsky and Evans Nana Aryee, also showed strong performances. Unfortunately, Kane Francis fell short, completing 49.59 seconds. At last, this event underscored the importance of grip strength in strongman competitions.

Atlas Stones

The Atlas Stones concluded the competition with a dramatic finish. Competitors lifted five stones, ranging from 130 to 200 kilograms. Furthermore, Luke Stoltman showcased his skills, finishing all five stones in an impressive 24.94 seconds. Moreover, Kane Francis and Trey Mitchell followed, completing the task in 26.38 and 26.69 seconds, respectively.

Additionally, this event tested both strength and speed, culminating the competition on a high note. Also, each athlete faced a unique challenge as they lifted the heavy stones. However, several competitors, like Spenser Remick and Roman Grekov, managed to lift all five but finished slower than the top three. Meanwhile, Mitchell Hooper did not attempt this event, focusing instead on his earlier victories.
